For Cache Allocation Technology you need support at CPU hardware level. Currently, only less than dozen CPUs

Where can I find the slirp-helper?
For the libvirt 5.8 release, I find that there is a new comment in qemu.conf: #slirp_helper = "/usr/bin/slirp-helper" It indicates that there is a slirp-helper to help setup slirp network. But I cannot find it even after I built the latest qemu(v4.1.0-1378-g98b2e3c9ab) and libvirt (v5.9.0-rc1-2-g73f91d659b). Could you please tell me where I can find that helper program? Thanks --

Performance of guest
I recently used Linux in VMware, but I discovered that kvm can replace it, so I created the kvm environment and then started a window on the host system. But when I use it, I have a problem. My guest's performance is not very good. For example, when I use Windows without kvm, the “lol” fps is 160, but my guest is only 135. why? I only have one guest what is the reason? What can we do to

About Libvirt Setmem&dommemstat Function
I have sent a similar email about this problem. But I did not describe carefully, so I would like to explain it in more details. I am using 'virsh setmem' to ajust vm memory online. However, I don't know what is the lowerlimit that can be set to. And I try to use 'virsh dommemstat' to get 'unused' memory so that I can calculate the lowerlimit memory with this value, but

Windows Media Player
Here's a problem I'm having with Windows Media Player: 1. I open http://www.cknw.com/cknw.asx 2. I see some messages at the bottom of the window that say things like "dowmloading codecs". 3. I see a promptbox that says "Windows Media Player cannot open 'mms://cknw.insinc.ca/cknwwm'. You may need to reboot to complete installation of a downloaded component. Please

Re: Where can I find the slirp-helper?
Hi Han, The slirp-helper is a helper program provided in libslirp rust bindings. It seems that you need to build it yourself ATM. git clone https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/slirp/libslirp-rs.git > cd libslirp-rs > cargo build --bin slirp-helper --features=all > Han Han <hhan@redhat.com> 於 2019年11月7日 週四 下午2:01寫道: > For the libvirt 5.8 release, I find that there is a new comment

API for retrieving resource metrics from VMs?
Hello. I'm a new getting started to learn the libvirt API. I've tried to find APIs which retrieve resource metrics such as cpu, disk, memory, and network I/O usages, but I could find few related thing; I was intended to use libvirt-Java binding first, it seems I'd be better to use the others like Python binding or C API though. The Java binding API is likely to provide very limited

Host resource footprint
Dear List: Can anyone tell me the resource footprint of a minimal Xen VM? In other words, how much CPU, memory, disk resources are required to run 1 VM with, for example, a simple 1.68 MB LEAF distro? I''m preparing to create a virtual network to test various LEAF routers and I''m trying to decide whether to use UML or Xen. VMware, which I already have, is out of the question
