Multi-threaded virsh migrate
Hi folk, we are using 10gb NICs with multithreaded compression. We're finding that the standard `virsh migrate` gets at most ~1.2gbps, similar to a single scp session. When we do a multipart upload with multiple scp connections we can squeeze as high as 9.6gbps. Is there was a way to get `virsh migrate` to perform multiple connections as well when transferring? Would be useful to be able

NUT on openSUSE 12.3 requires additional systemd service unit
OpenSUSE 12.3 has fully embraced systemd, but to get NUT working correctly now requires some further systemd engineering in addition to the usual NUT configuration files. A new systemd service unit is needed to power off the UPS. The service unit consists of a new file /etc/systemd/system/ups-delayed-shutdown.service [Unit] Description=Initiate delayed UPS shutdown

Compiling qemu
Hi, I've installed qemu 2.5 through the package manager. There is a bug which blocks making an external snapshot for the second time. A fix is released: https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/qemu-devel/2016-01/msg06163.html I thought, why not download the source, apply the patch, build + make and then copy qemu-system-x86_64 to the /usr/bin/ folder..... But if I do 'virsh start

Fw: [Nut-upsdev] POWERCOM-UPS-USB : UPS Shutdown
Good Day Roger AA. notice that during the test, you have little or no load, since despite being in state OB DISCHRG the battery.charge is still 100. It's best to perform such tests with a dummy load such as a table lamp and an old fashioned incandescent 100 watt bulb. ==> Yes. I got it and try to ascend load as below results dinow-All-Series:~# upsc pcmups Init SSL without

systemd: Failed unmounting /var on reboot, should I worry about fs corruption?
Hi all, I have Centos 8 installed on a physical machine (www6) with separate LVM volumes for /, /var, /var/lib/mysql etc. System boot proceeds without a hiccup, in terminal systemctl status says everything is OK and running, journalctl says so as well - systemd mounts everything stated in fstab. However, on reboot systemd echoes problems with filesystem on /var : ...// unmounting all volumes

Is it possible ''xen domU PXE boot'' ?
Hi everyone, I want to know whether domain-U can boot PXE. I read relative article from here mailing list or many web sites already, but I don''t understand clearly. I concluded it is impossible, but Virtual Iron support VM''s(domU) pxe boot. I am confused. If it is possible, in my opinion, it needs a boot-loader support PXE ( for example, pygrub support pxe boot - of course I

Source information not showing for virsh domiflist causing problems with migrating VMs
Hi, Does anyone know of a way to get around this problem. I have several long running VMs running on an Ubuntu 14.10 host and for some reason I am getting errors when trying to migrate them to another host. If I restart the VM then the problem does not exist, however for various reasons that is not an option with the remaining VMs. root@comp001:~# /root/bin/vm_migrate.sh ws001 comp003 virsh

rsaref usage
First, when I tried to start sshd, I got the message Starting sshd: ssh-keygen: no RSA support in libssl and libcrypto. See ssl(8). sshd: no RSA support in libssl and libcrypto -- exiting. See ssl(8) no RSA support in libssl and libcrypto -- exiting. See ssl(8) So I thought I have to recompile openssl with rsaref flag to config. When I did that, I got compilation error (this is version 0.9.5
