Next virt-manager release?
Does anybody know if there are plans to tag a new release of virt-manager any time soon? That would help with distro packaging.

xfce on CentOS 7: can't lock screen
Ok, trying to bypass the usual flames (I used CDE for years, then KDE until it got dumbed-down too much, and we all know how GNOME has turned out) ... I've decided to try out xfce on CentOS 7. I grabbed xfce from epel by installing the following via yum: epel-release @xfce So far it's pretty good, and is giving me the basic features I'm looking at without getting in my way.

NetworkManager and bridged networking
Adam Williamson (adamw) has done a fine job at determining how to get bridged networking working with NetworkManager: https://www.happyassassin.net/2014/07/23/bridged-networking-for-libvirt-with-networkmanager-2014-fedora-21/ According to Adam, he did the work on Fedora 21 whereas I did it on Fedora 20. the undesirable features (problems) I found may be corrected on F21 but I believe that

using both bridged and routed networking
Hello, I''m using Debian Squeeze with Xen 4.0 HVM. Both running 64bits. I''ve got 4 domU''s requiring the bridged setup to work, I''ve got an IP address for each. Now I need to setup routed networking for the rest of domU''s. I just changed the configuration in xend-config.sxp and restarted Xen. Routing started to work, while there are still

Networking troubles on CentOS 7
Hi, I've been trying to get networking up and running on CentOS 7 in a VMWare (5.5) VM. From inside the machine (connected to console (GNOME desktop)) it looks like network is up. Bug#715333: IPv6 security risks with XCP dom0
Package: xcp-xapi Version: 1.3.2-14 Severity: important I understand that XCP version 1.3 doesn't support IPv6 This blog talks about enabling it in v1.6: http://jeffloughridge.wordpress.com/2013/06/16/ipv6-in-xcp-1-6/ However, one observation that I have made is that the dom0 host, in a default wheezy installation, has kernel IPv6 enabled and appears to have a link-local address on every

Bug#702428: HVM networking tap/vif bug (Debian bug 702428)
Hi, I've been testing the Debian packages ahead of the Debian 7 release (which is very imminent) I believe this is a serious bug[1] in the package, as it appears that HVM networking is broken, or at the very least, requires some undocumented configuration step Specifically: - I can start the HVM domU without any vif - if I attach a vif, the domU will not start Looking at

routing problem with domU bridged to two networks
As I received no response on the general CentOS list, I'll repost it here as the question is about Xen virtual machine routing. This is my network setup: http://pastebin.com/kyWpTQYU Lets assume my dom0's eth2 public ip is 1.2.3.33 and my dmz network 11.22.33.96/255.255.255.224 . I have created NAT from my LAN with iptables. You can see my /etc/sysconfig/iptables here:
