Routed mode problem with SSH
Hi guys, I describe the context of the problem below:
I installed a Tor relay on a virtual machine on my server with IP
9.1.1.101. This
virtual machine needs to use a static IP (9.1.1.102) to work as a Tor
relay. After
that I create a virtual network in *Routed mode* to connect to the physical
network (used as a bridge between the virtual machine and the external
network (Internet)).

routed mode
Hi,
I have installed a centos65_guest_1 system on a centos65 host with
virt-manager.
By default libvirt has a default network in NAT mode. At centos65_guest_1
when pinging to google it works.
But I would like to use a routed mode for production enviroment with some
services online,
like http, ftp, ssh, etc.
I have created the virtual network 192.168.100.0/24 with routed mode, and I

[Bridge] Problem with Routed mode using br2684ctl tool
Hi,
I am writing this email in sincere hope that somebody
experienced similar/same problem and found solution to
it.
The classical bridge setup could be achieved using
brctl tool, which could be found at:
http://home.regit.org/br2684.html
I have an ADSL CO line card Linux based [2.4.24
kernel] with 8 nas interfaces and eth0. Rather than
having bridge, the decision was to have a router,

XCP Debian 7 - Routed mode
Hi everyone,
I just got a brand new server by Hetzner.de. The thing is, when you
have additional IP, to use routed mode (precisely a subnet of IP,
story of exposed MAC in their data center etc.) Bridged mode is NOT
possible for getting connectivity in VM''s.
Traditionally, I''m more confident with "standard" Xen setup, so it''s
easy to switch from bridged to

Load-Distribution in Routed mode?
Hello,
Short question:
* Node A is connected ("ConnectTo-Statement") to nodes B1, B2.
* Tinc is operated in routed mode.
* B1 and B2 are serving same subnets (Subnet=172.27.0.0/16,
Subnet=fdd3:5d16:b5dd:3::0/64).
How will tinc route packages to 172.27.0.0/16 and fdd3:5d16:b5dd:3::0/64
sent from A?
* Will load balancing between B1 and B2 take place?
* Is the decision stable - eg. is

I don't think there's a crypto@ list, though security@ might represent.

XEN - Routed and Bridget Mode together (mixed)
Hi,
is there any possibility to get a XEN DomO and DomU running with
bridget and routed mode together.
The reason behind this is, to get the requests via the official IPs to
the DomU''s (routed-mode) and the interworking
between the DomU''s with connected with help of the (bridged-mode).
I got it work, with setting everything up manually. But as I

Printer sleep mode problem
Dear group,
I have a Samsung ML-1740 laser printer connected to an OpenBSD 3.5 server using a USB connection. The printer is accessed from
Windows PCs through Samba 3.0.14a and CUPS (using raw printer driver).
The problem I am having is that after my printer goes into power save mode (a desired feature, I only print 2-3 times a week) I
always have to send two print jobs; one to "wake"

tor and selinux
I'm experimenting with tor hidden services and got it to work nicely on
my Centos7, with tor from epel. That is, until I booted the machine.
Then SELinux kicked in and in the logs there's?
[warn] Directory /var/lib/tor/hidden_service/ cannot be read:
Permission denied
The permissions are
drwx------.??2 toranon toranon????4096 Jan 28 23:39 hidden_service
And SELinux gives the following

"403 Forbidden" between two softphones on same Asterisk
Hi,
I have two softphones connected to an Asterisk "stable". I have two
extensions, say 1000 and 2000. When 1000 calls 2000, the call cannot be
completed; the softphone (either Diax97a , SJphone, Firefly 1.8) on
extension 2000 will ring, but as soon as the call is picked up, extension
2000 will hang up the call.
The softphone on 1000 (SIP, SJphone, e.g.) will give a "403

Tor has many, many problematic behaviors relevant to congestion control
in general. Let me paste a bit of private discussion I'd had on it in a second,
but a very good paper that touched upon it all was:

Re: routed mode
/etc/sysctl.conf
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
centos 65 host has static private ip 192.168.1.15
I have added a route
ip route add 192.168.1.0/24 via 192.168.1.15
but each time I use 'service network restart' the new route disappears
anyway I have made a ping before restarting the network and is still not
working
Thank you.

I've just encountered a problem starting tor. When I do 'systemctl

suggestion to do full auditing with 'auditctl -w /etc/shadow -p w'.
