does BackgrounDRB not "know" the rails environment it is running within/in parallel with?]
Hi,
it probably is a noob question but I''m confused by this error message:
active_support/dependencies.rb:478:in `const_missing'': uninitialized
constant Invoice::ApplicationController
Situation:
I have an InvoicesController with a create method that in turn calls
upon a MiddleMan.worker(:billing_worker), which in turn finds an Invoice
and calls upon @invoice.print_invoice

Script consumes memory
I have the following script that when executed, consumes memory and
makes the system inaccessible. All process are halted.
First, I don't understand what is wrong with the script
Secondly, I'm surprised that Linux allows this to run unchecked to the
detriment of the entire system.

Extracting client certificate information
When using client certificate authentication, is there any way to
extract the key ID from the certificate in a force command on the
server?
I would like to be able to configure Gitolite [1] with a certificate
authority key and then use the key ID as the Gitolite user ID when a
client connects. Currently I can achieve the same effect by embedding
the username in a "force-command"

Undefining the VM will not be necessary after two things happen:
1. qemu supports persistent

Hello.
Someone was talking about this (undefining the VM) would not be
neccessary anymore when qemu-1.5 has been released. Is that true?

virsh blockcommit --pivot is actually 3 operations in sequence:
1) initiate the commit job
2) wait till it finishes
3) initiate the pivot job (this is

libvirtError: Timed out during operation: cannot acquire state change lock (held by monitor=remoteDispatchDomainMigratePerform3Params)
Hi everyone,
I have a question that you may be able to help me with. I had a live block migration of a qemu-kvm guest fail (initiated via nova), in which the guest remained running on the source, but if I try to re-initiate the live migration it returns libvirtError: Timed out during operation: cannot acquire state change lock (held by monitor=remoteDispatchDomainMigratePerform3Params). "virsh blockjob rasa vda --abort" aborts the blockcommit and then I can try
to blockcommit again:
# virsh blockjob

virsh does no longer respond to commands
Hi,
after a recent live backup done with a snapshot, blockcommit failed and a
subsequent (manual) blockjob abort got stuck. Now we are unable to do basic
operations on the virtual machine like if it was frozen and when issuing
another command we see the following:
$ virsh shutdown $domain
error: Failed to shutdown domain $domain
error: Timed out during operation: cannot acquire state change lock

VMs won't power on
Hello -
I have installed the VMware-server-1.0.5-80187.i386.rpm package on a
CentOS 5.1 system. I then ran the vmware-config.pl program. I chose
mostly default answer, except that I did not choose the NAT option; I
saw no errors.
I used the VMware Server Console to create a Red Hat Linux VM. I also
copied an externally created VM into the '/var/lib/vmware/Virtual
Machines/'

With X11Forwarding off by default, one would assume that it is only
enabled on a case-by-case basis for users or groups who
