Hi, in bridge mode all the guests and hosts should be in the same subnet always ? Need information
Hi, Referring to the link http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/VirtualNetworking, the scenario described for the routed mode, explains that "Host has public IP and virtual machines have static public IPs. But one can't use bridged networking, since provider accept only packets from the MAC address of the host" Can someone explain to me why doesn't the switch accept the packets from

Re: Two Node Cluster
Hi Peter and other Libvirt-Users, Thank you, I greatly appreciate your response. The diagram I provided may be a little misleading, so I have attached a new diagram (also available here: https://i.imgur.com/X3nFMCz.png ). I think I also need to provide some more detail about my scenario here: These physical nodes are provided to me by "bare-metal cloud" providers like Scaleway / OVH /

need help on tinc route problem
hi. Are you add only 0.0.0.0/1 as route, not 128.0.0.0/1 too? Did you tried to add route to 5.6.7.8 via C with lesser metric then via B? If you have to add static routes only on a few servers, you can add them to the $HOST-up scripts. need help on tinc route problem
yes, I have these in C host file: Subnet=10.10.0.0/24 Subnet=0.0.0.0/1 Subnet=128.0.0.0/1 ## not metioned, because I think is maybe works in same as 0.0.0.0/1 B host file doesn't have 0.0.0.0/1 and 128.0.0.0/1 I only added one route to 5.6.7.8 via B, not via C On Mon, Feb 29, 2016 at 4:40 PM, Maxim Vorontsov <6012030 at gmail.com> wrote: > hi. > > Are you add only

routed subnet problem
Hi, I'm new to libvirt so please bear with me. I am trying to set up a routed subnet on my laptop with libvirt, hoping it to be able to communicate with all servers in my nw. My laptop is on a subnet, 192.168.2.0/24, with a static ip, 192.168.2.27. I have "more or less" followed this guide for routed networks,

It's a pity I don't know how to re-create the issue. While there are 1-2 crashed clients in total 120 clients every day. Guest-networking: Two subnets = Guests cannot connect to the other subnet
Hello list, We have KVM setup using libvirt (0.9.0) as configuration device on a Debian Squeeze Host. Networking is done in routed bridge mode and we have two different subnets, as well as one main ip. Subnets get routed to the main ip (this is done by our provider). Network on hosts are done like this: <network> <name>subnet_1</name>

Libvirt NAT-based network 2x-4x faster than Libvirt routed network?
Hi Is it expected behaviour that a libvirt NAT-based network is faster than a libvirt routed network? I would guess that the routed network would be the fastest one in all cases, but I'm seeing the opposite in my setup. On a 100mbit internet connection, the routed network tops at 4mbyte/sec, while the nat-based network goes all the way to 10mbyte/sec. I've spend the last 6 hours on

Re: a VM does not get dhcp
Okay. I may be missing something; from what you explicitly write about subnets, it sounds like you only have one, but if you don't have two subnets, why do you need a DHCP relay? SO. Assuming you have two subnets: * It sounds as if your DHCP request is generating an ACK. * I'm 99% sure your ACK has to traverse the DHCP helper and wend its way back to the originating host. So

a VM does not get dhcp
hi everybody I'm looking at my setup and got stuck I have a box with two NICs on the same subnet, and another box similar, also two NICs on one subnet, all four NICs are on the same subnet. Now, that second box has also a virtual NIC (libvirtd's bridge route mode) and VMs guests are using it, traffic to that virtual net is routed via 1st real NIC. This second box dhcrelays to the

Calls with oh323 with no sound
Hi, I've oh323 chan installed and working to make calls from SIP to H323 devices. The problem is can no hear sound with the H323 device. I think this is some related with codecs o nat, because the H323 have one public IP from a different subnet from the asterisk box. If I use netmeeting in gateway mode, the call can be completed and I can talk with a SIP device, but in gateway mode I can not
