SIP phone w/ XML browser
Still looking for cheaper (under $250,-) alternative to cisco 7940 with
features needed for corporate use, mainly:
- shared phone book (e.g. via LDAP or XML browser in phone)
- in-line power
- missed/dialed/received numbers
- integrated switch (voice VLAN support)
I found only aastara/sayson phone (and Intracom/Netphone in the past),
that has xml services anounced, but still not available, so

Microsoft outlook or outlook express and roaming profiles
Hi all,
we are using samba 2.2.6 with windows xp SP1, and roaming profiles.
We would like to have email settings (servers/usernames etc) with the roaming
profiles, but outlook (either microsoft, or express) store their settings in
a path that is not included in the profiles
we do not care about the actual emails, since the mailserver is IMAP, we only
care about settings

Autocad v14 and Samba file locking problems
Has anyone had any problems when using Samba 16p9 (SunOS 4.1.3) and
Autocad version 14 (NT 4) together ?
We've recently upgraded to version 14 from 12 for NT 4 (SP3) and we're
told by our suppliers that the file locking mechanisms are now handled
through the OS instead of Autocad creating locks files which it did in
version 12. We have problems accessing files on a shared drive. When one

vcpupin and kvm
Hi.
Can anyone confirm if vcpupin works correctly with kvm? If set I pin a
vcpu it shows up correctly via vcpuinfo, but querying via taskset shows
the cpu is not pinned.
Thanks,
-Geoff

Will virsh command setvcpus/vcpupin be supported by lxc driver in the future?
Dear member of libvirt team,
I hope the lxc could be dynamically reconfigured, such as the number of vcpu or vcpu pinning.
According to http://libvirt.org/hvsupport.html , at present, setvcpus(virDomainSetVcpus) and vcpupin (virDomainGetVcpuPinInfo) are not supported by lxc driver.
I wonder if these commands will be supported by libvirt in the future?
Best wishes,

How to insert vcpupin in guest xml file
Hi all,
I am trying to add vcpupin in the guest xml file. I am working with openstack and the code I have is python bound. I investigated through the code and found that the elemets in xml file are set in get_guest_config function. Now the thing is I am not able to set vcpupin element. I mean I tried guest.cputune_vcpupin but it's not working.
Help me out, please!
Thanks.

Drive space for voice mail
I've looked in the dimensioning information on voip-info.org but can't
find any hard information on the amount of drive space the various codecs
use. Since we would eventually like to support web-based voice mail
retrieval, I'm thinking of the wav format. I've specced out 2x160GB drives
in RAID-1 (software RAID via Linux) for the box. It will be

New files and directories
Hello,
I have an annoying little issue. I am currently running Samba 2.2.5-10
as a Primary Domain Controller and have a number of shared drives with a
variety of differing users and user rights all over the place.
In my smb.conf file, I have the following share:
[emergpo]
path = /share/purchasing/emergpo
force directory mode = 0770
create mode = 0770

Problems of groups accessing shared directory
Hello,
I have problems with people having different groups who access a shared
directory via samba.
The requirements are:
1. There are people with group "group1" and group "group2" in /etc/passwd
2. 3 people from group "group1" and 2 people from group "group2" are allowed
to access a shared directory and have read/write access to that directory.

I was surprised to see that this hadn't made it to the samba list yet.

Hello,
Third version of the NUMA placement series Xen 4.2.
All the comments received during v2''s review have been addressed (more details
