Libvirtd running as root tries to access oneadmin (OpenNebula) NFS mount but throws: error: can’t canonicalize path
Hey All, I've an issue where libvirtd tries to access an NFS mount but errors out with: can't canonicalize path '/var/lib/one//datastores/0 . The unprevilidged user is able to read/write fine to the share. root_squash is used and for security reasons no_root_squash cannot be used. On the controller and node SELinux is disabled. [oneadmin@mdskvm-p01 ~]$ virsh -d 1 --connect

Hey John, Hehe, I got the right guy then. Very nice! And very good ideas but I may need more time to reread and try them out later tonight. I'm fully in agreement about providing more details. Can't be accurate in a diagnosis if there isn't much data to go on. This pool option is new to me. Please tell me more on it. Can't find it in the file below but maybe it's

Qemu-guest agent
Hi all, I am new to libvirt, I am trying to execute some commands inside guest domains from my host machine using libvirt-Python API. So far I have been able to open up a stream but I am not sure how to send commands on the stream (through virDomainOpenConsole). After hours of searching through different forums I found out that there is a utlity called qemu-guest agent which can solve my problem.

ESX - How to create a new domain
Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to create a new domain(create a new virtual machine) using the ESX driver. The documentation at http://libvirt.org/drvesx.html says: To define a new domain the driver converts the domain XML into a VMware VMX file and uploads it to a datastore known to the ESX server. Because multiple datastores may be known to an ESX server the driver needs to decide

help to implement LXC terminal
Hi, guys! I began to write qt-virt-manager (https://github.com/F1ash/qt-virt-manager), using libvirt API. I'm currently trying to implement a terminal for LXC-containers, but I do not have enough knowledge and experience. As I understand it, i must use virDomainOpenConsole, which binds virStream with working domain (Virtual Machine). But how to use this stream, I do not know ( I found
