Re: vm doesn't respond after live migration
I also have problems with a live migration. I’ve experienced that migrating over tcp instead of ssh is more stable. But with big disks ( > 30Gb) and –copy-storage-all, I keep getting problems… for now I don’t use it.

Re: block-commit fails
Please provide more information like
Virsh version
Virsh dumpxml my-vm
qemu-info /foo/my-vm-snapshot.img
According to http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Live-disk-backup-with-active-blockcommit your active block commit command should look like:
virsh blockcommit vm1 vda --active --verbose –pivot
thus one command…
Does your error comes after your third command?

VNC console issues with fully-virtualized guests
Hi, gang. I''m having major issues with getting the VNC consoles to
accept keystrokes. I''m trying to get Windows 2003 Server SP2 to run
as a fully-virtualized guest. I get the VNC window for the installer,
but I can''t get it to accept any keystrokes (e.g. hitting the F5 so
I can tell it to use a standard PC HAL). If I opt to use SDL, I get
no console at all.

Possible bug in Xen 4.2.1 when rebooting domU after save/restore
Hello,
After saving and restoring a DomU (teste on the same server), doing a reboot
to the newly restored domU will cause it to crash. This happens on PV and
PVHVM domUs.
I am using qemu upstream for the HVM guests, but I don''t really think it
matters as long as PV guests behave the same.
I want to confirm this if possible, before submitting a bug report and more
details.
I am using

Windows guest skipping chkdsk if using Spice display
Hi all,
as per subject, when a Windows guest using a Spice display is rebooted
with a planned chkdsk, the consistency check is always skipped.
It seems that the Spice display issues some "phantom" keystrokes, which
are then intended by Windows as the "skip chkdsk at boot" signal.
I tried to use a Spice display with no additional features (ie: USB
redirection), but to no

Save/restore IMAP session state
Some future Dovecot version will have "imap-idle" processes where
IDLEing IMAP connections get moved, so the system wouldn't waste so much
memory for all the IDLEing imap processes. A week ago I thought I'd see
how easy it would be to implement this. I got a basic proof of concept
working as a "X-STATE" command.
Save the state:
a x-state

Keyboard repeat error - VNC Xen virtual framebuffer
Hello Xen-Users,
I am currently provisioning old Linux guests as HVM on a server, and giving
clients access through VNC. The current setup uses the default Xen
framebuffer as a VNC server (all configuration files have vnc=1 and a few
other settings), and my clients are using vinagre (a.k.a. Remote Desktop
Viewer) on Arch as their VNC client.
Problem: Keyboard input is not consistently handled
