High availability for guests
Hello,
What is the recommended way to offer high availability to Guests?
For example, let host1, host2 and host3 be libvirt and KVM/Qemu enabled.
If I start a guest in host1, how can I guarantee that it will stay
online if host1 goes down?
GlusterFS, for example, would take care of storage; but what about CPU
and RAM? How can this be accomplished?
Thank you for any feedback or comment in

How to migrate over TCP without certs
Hey guys,
I have a private network and I trust it! /me hides behind trees...
So, in order to exercise my trust, I wanna migrate guests over TCP;
with and without shared storage.
This is:
- I want to migrate from host1 to host2; which have shared storage;
over TCP without certs
- I want to migrate from host1 to host99, which don't have shared
storage, over TCP without certs
I am asking

How to pass info to a guest?
Hello,
I would love to be able to pass information to a Guest. For example:
- I'd love to sync the root password with the VNC/Spice one
- I'd like to be able to inject stuff to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys
All of these at boot time.
How would I do it? I'd make these files/strings available in the BIOS
or something; maybe some kind of storage local to the host and guest
as well. Then,

Metadata accessible within guests
Hello,
I'd like to know if there is any way to make metadata; for example,
the public part of an SSH, accessible within a Guest?
This would be very useful in order to provide access to Guests in an
automated way.
For example, let's suppose I have an implementation that gives a user
the power to create Guests. The user has stored his public SSH key in
my implementation.
After the user

CentOS4 desktop has stopped recognizing removable media - haldaemon problem?
USB sticks and cameras used to pop right up on my desktop. Now they
don't. I've checked the Gnome "Drives and Media Preferences" and
nothing has changed -- I have "Mount removable media when inserted"
etc. (Tried toggling it off and back on, no effect.)
I've logged out and back in, even rebooted. /var/log/messages shows
the devices are being recognized by udev:

custom port in cwrsync gui client for windows
I purchased the cwRsync for windows to help a client backup her USB key
after using it.
I want the cwRsync_GUI_CLIENT to execute the equivalent of this command:
rsync -rave "ssh -p 922" /cygdrive/e user at machine.domain.com:USBKey
Can anyone tell me how to do so??
Like most windows users, my client is terrified of the command prompt.
Thanks
Richard

Problem with GTX 970 under Fedora 21
Hi,
I took this issue to the Fedora forum initially, but no-one there has
been able to offer any guidance, so I have decided to come to the
nouveau community directly.
I was running a KDE desktop under Fedora 21 successfully, including the
ability to use a direct text login on an older card (GXT 560 Ti) with an
entirely stock Fedora, fully updated.
I simply replaced the old card with an

floppy drives
Yes, really. I've got hundreds of the damn things here at home, and I
want to go through them and get rid of them all.
But... to do that I want to read them. I have both a 5.25" and a 3.5"
drive, both are plugged in, but in the BIOS, all I see is the 3.5".
Fine, I figure I'll take care of those.
Nope. I see /dev/fd0 once I've booted up, but neither konqueror nor

S4 object type available for testing
The default prototype object for an S4 class up to now has been a
zero-length list (nothing else worked). This is wrong in principle,
because it makes the objects look like vectors to low-level C code, and
they should not. It may also be the cause of some inefficiency.
A new low-level type has been added for these classes. It's currently
available in the r-devel version, but not turned
