pcieport 0000:00:01.0: PME: Spurious native interrupt (nvidia with nouveau and thunderbolt on thinkpad P73)
Ok, I have an update to this problem. I added the nouveau list because
I can't quite tell if the issue is:
- the PCIe changes that went in 5.6 I think (or 5.5?), referenced below
- a new issue with thunderbold on thinkpad P73, that seems to be
triggered if I have a USB-C yubikey in the port. With 5.7, my issues
went away if I removed the USB key during boot, showing an interaction

How to attach USB disk to specified USB controller in domian?
Hi guys,
I want to attach a few USB disks to specified USB controller in domain on libvirt layer, but I didn't find any method to deal with it. Anyone can help me on that?
I added some USB type disk to my domain, started it, I found all USB disk had been attached to same USB controller automatically, I want to assign some USB disks to another controller manually but I can't find the

"cannot allocate vector of size ..." in RHLE5 PAE kernel
Dear R community,
I'm running R 32 bits in a 64-bits machine (with 16Gb of Ram) using a
PAE kernel, as you can see here:
$ uname -a
Linux mymachine 2.6.18-238.el5PAE #1 SMP Sun Dec 19 14:42:44 EST 2010
i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
When I try to create a large matrix ( Q.obs <- matrix(NA, nrow=6940,
ncol=9000) ), I got the following error:

NFS Performance
Hi,
With help from Oleg we got the right patches applied and NFS working
well. Maximum performance was about 60 MB/sec. Last week that dropped
to about 12.5 MB/sec and I cannot find a reason. Lustre clients all
obtain 100+ MB/sec on GigE. Each OST is good for 270 MB/sec. When
mounting the client on one of the OSSs I get 230 MB/sec. Seems the
speed is there. How can NFS and Lustre be tuned

Disk usage incorrectly reported by du
I have an ext4 filesystem for which the reported disk usage is not
correct. I have noticed the discrepancy after I rsync-ed the content to
another filesystem and noticed that the used space on the target is almost
double of the size reported on the source.
Both machines are running the same software - with the same kernel version
and same coreutils version (which I later upgraded to latest

Indexing problem 10.9/10.10
Sorry if this is a repost- I wasn''t sure if the www.ruby-forum.com
list works for postings.
I''ve been having trouble with indexing a large amount of documents(2.4M).
Essentially, I have one process that is following the tutorial
dumping documents to an index stored on the file system. If I open the
index with another process, and run the size() method it is stuck at
a number

apache - upload files bigger than 2Go
Hi,
I need to upload files larger than 4.4Gb (iso DVD) on CentOS (5.5 x64)
http server (httpd-2.2.3-43.el5.centos)
On the apache server set in my /etc/php.ini
upload_max_filesize = 4900M
post_max_size = 5000M
In my httpd.conf I set :
LimitRequestBody 0
I'm using firefox and/or chrome client for upload a file with 4.2gb size
on the server.
But it doesn't work.

Slow fsck on adaptec SAS/SATA raid
I'm trying to do an fsck on an ext3 partition but I'm seeing abysmally slow
disk throughput; monitoring with "dstat" (like vmstat) shows ~1200-1500KB/s
throughput to the disks. Even with 24hrs of fsck-ing I only get ~3% (still in
pass1).
The filesystem is ext3 running "e2fsck -C0 /dev/sda3" and about 3.7TB on an
x86_64-based system with 4GB RAM. e2fsprogs is 1.41.9.

Size of produced binaries when compiling llvm & clang sources
Dear llvm developpers,
I followed the tutorial to build llvm and clang provided here:
https://clang.llvm.org/get_started.html
The sources are in sync with subversion repository, and I ended up with
more than 30GB of binaries in llvm/bin as shown at the end of this message.
I assume I did something wrong, but I did not find any entry in the doc
that helps me understand how to reduce the size of

Some questions about PCI-passthrough for HVM(Non-IOMMU)
Hello,
I saw some patches about PCI-passthrough for HVM(non-IOMMU) and I
am interested in it. I want to assign my graphics card(nVidia GeForce
7900GS) to an HVM domain (Vista) in order to run 3D-intensive work(for
example, 3D-games).
What I want to ask is that is it really possible to pass the
graphics card to HVM domain running Vista now? That is, have anyone ever

xen dire-map area
Hell all,
I am doing some research work on protecting Xen''s data structures. I
know there is a direct-map area(about 12M), in which we can get the
physical address of the data structure from its virtual address. My
question is : are the stack and the heap of Xen both located in this
direct-map area? Since I need protect stack and heap data, so it is
easy to identify their physical
