Libvirt: dynamic ownership did not work
Hi, I have a very strange problem with libvirt. I work on some machines with libvirt (Debian/ Arch Linux) and libvirt set the ownership of images file automatically to the qemu user / group for example on Arch Linux to nobody:kvm. So when I copy an image file with root and use I then with qemu, libvirt change the owner/ group to nobody:kvm. But I also compiled libvirt for a machine (gcc 4.9.4

Feasibility of Tinc vpn with my current setup.
Hi all, I am new to Tinc VPN and really would like to make full benefit of this implementation if possible. I would like to know whether I will be able to use Tinc to its full potential. My current setup is as follows, IPfire router/firewall(openvpn client) --->ISP(Internet)--->Amazon VPS(openvpn server). The ipfire router is behind a CARRIER-GRADE NAT, I am able to reach the network

FC2 POP3/SMTP Configuration
OK, let me try this again. . . . I'm a newbie to dovecot and a little bit less of a newbie to linux. I am in the process of moving my server from RH9 to FC2. The only obstacle remaining is my email. I run dovecot (v0.99.14) POP3 and sendmail (8.12.11-4.6) with Mozilla (1.4.2 and others), Thunderbird (1.0.2) and Netscape (7.1 on PC's, etc) mail clients - mostly PC's (W2K, WXP).

Samba ADS-member-server: FQDNs in /etc/hosts
(new thread, same migration project) I see GPOs applied, but network drives sometimes mapped, sometimes not. Found something around hardened UNC paths, applied some GPO, dunno if that is necessary or helps (I still have to check where to apply that GPO, computer or user ...). While debugging that I find in log.smbd on the member server: [2017/07/10 11:22:20.290018, 1]

Problems starting wine...
I'm hoping someone can help me out with this... I've been running the Wine package in Debian/Woody for quite a while now, and have been able to run most of the windows programs I want to. However, for some reason wine just stopped working for me. Here is the error output for every windows program I run: For language 'english' several language ids were found: en_US - 0409; en_GB

linux client join DC how?
I did a fresh install of Debian with the desktop. I know from Ubuntu that the network is handled differently in the desktop and the server versions. So, I am assuming it is a similar situation with Debian. I could be wrong but . . . When kerberos installs via the script it (the script) suggests accepting the 'defaults on the next three screens.' The first screen included the correct
