HI, everyone: My target deal with network hotplug use virDomainDetachDeviceFlags. Because when the API return ,the network maybe doesn’t remove from my vm guest os. So I use virConnectDomainEventRegisterAny to register an event ID: VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_ID_DEVICE_REMOVED , my process as follow:

Qemu driver not supporting VIR_DOMAIN_DEVICE_MODIFY_CONFIG yet?
Hi, According to the docs on http://libvirt.org/html/libvirt-libvirt.html#virDomainDetachDeviceFlags I ought to be able to do virDomainDetachDeviceFlags( <domain>, <devicexml>, VIR_DOMAIN_DEVICE_MODIFY_LIVE | VIR_DOMAIN_DEVICE_MODIFY_CONFIG); to detach a volume both from a currently running VM instance and permanently from the defined config file. If I actually try that,

Xen disk device detach fails as non-root [libvirt-0.8.7 and older versions]
Hi All, I find that I am able to attach a disk device do a Xen domain, using virDomainAttachDevice(), running as a non-root user, but I am unable to use virDomainDetachDevice() - it results in an "unknown failure". Using "virsh [attach|detach]-device" exhibits this behviour. $ virsh attach-device domu1 attach.xml Device attached successfully $ virsh detach-device domu1

when virEventAddTimeout trigger timeout ,should in the callback call virConnectDomainEventDeregisterAny ?
hi, all I do a hotplug detach a network in a thread, because virDomainDetachDeviceFlags maybe asynchronous, so I do like follow: cb_para->cluster_id = info->cluster_id; cb_para->group_id = info->group_id; cb_para->vsys_id = info->vsysid; cb_para->vnf_id = info->vnf_id; cb_para->conn = conn; cb_para->time_out = 20*1000;//20s

Re: Detach disk from VM - virsh (working) vs. PHP (not working)
Thank you for your help! 1, i used vda as install disk and vdb as target disk, because i boot from the first. After setup boot order flag i was able change install disk to vdb and target disk to vda. With this configuration when i boot from vdb i can install OS with grub and after it redefine XML without vdb without problem. Thanks a lot. 2, maybe i have something wrong, but still not working:

Applications used in the Rails video?
Hi all, I just watched the rail video: http://www.rubyonrails.org/media/video/rails_take2_with_sound.mov I am just curious. I can tell that the video was done on a Mac, but I cannot tell which applications were used for editing the code, and for interfacing with MySQL database. As far as editing source code, I normally use BBEdit (I''ve used it since 1994), but the editor used in

Detach devices using Libvirt+Xen
Hi! We're struggling to get device detaching to work reliably using Xen. We can reliably use the same code to manage devices using Libvirt+KVM without any problems. We've tested this on Xen with both CD-ROM and USB devices without success. See below for detailed descriptions. Thankful for any help! Regards, Daniel Espling --- For CD-ROM, we can mount them using attach-device but

Poor man''s backup by attaching/detaching mirror drives on a _striped_ pool?
Hi, one quick&dirty way of backing up a pool that is a mirror of two devices is to zpool attach a third one, wait for the resilvering to finish, then zpool detach it again. The third device then can be used as a poor man''s simple backup. Has anybody tried it yet with a striped mirror? What if the pool is composed out of two mirrors? Can I attach devices to both mirrors, let them

why virConnectDomainEventRegisterAny can't alway trigger the callback ,how can i get a stable callback ?
hi, all: I create a vm with six nic, after the vm start, i delete tree nics. all the three nic delete logic will happen in a thread , every nic delete has the following process: int vnf_control_del_network(void *arg) { 。。。。。 call_id = virConnectDomainEventRegisterAny(conn, dom, VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_ID_DEVICE_REMOVED, VIR_DOMAIN_EVENT_CALLBACK(vnf_control_del_network_cb), cb_para,

PRI span problem - no D channel
Hi, I have the following happen to me after the restart of one of my servers: out of my 3 PRIs (all configured with the same technical settings), the last one isn't coming back. It's underutilized (chances it didn't get a call since my reboot), if it makes a difference . The PRI goes from provisioned to unprovisioned, and I get this regularly: [Jun 22 09:03:48]

detaching console from background asterisk
This puzzles me. If I start asterisk in the background, and then attach to it to perform some chores, is there a way to detach again without stopping the background process? Entering "stop now" kills both the console attachment as well as the background process. I need to attach to the running asterisk in order to do "init keys" but once I do that, it seems I cannot just

[PATCH RFC v2 3/4] vhost-vdpa: should restore 1:1 dma mapping before detaching driver
Devices with on-chip IOMMU may need to restore iotlb to 1:1 identity mapping from IOVA to PA. Before vhost-vdpa is going away, give them a chance to clean up and reset iotlb back to 1:1 identify mapping mode. This is done so that any vdpa bus driver may start with 1:1 identity mapping by default. Signed-off-by: Si-Wei Liu <si-wei.liu at oracle.com> --- drivers/vhost/vdpa.c | 17

I ran into some very irritating behaviour I don't understand. Let me illustrate with the package gdata() and the function print.object_size() : > print(object.size(iris),units='Kb') 6.3 Kb > getAnywhere(print.object_size) A single object matching ?print.object_size? was found It was found in the following places registered S3 method for print from namespace utils
