Debian Wheezy-Backports - Dovecot (1:2.2.9-1~bpo70+1) missing xz compression support?
Hallo Everyone,
since some days a new dovecot version is available in Debian
"wheezy-backports": (1:2.2.9-1~bpo70+1) wheezy-backports
As described in http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Zlib and
http://www.dovecot.org/doc/NEWS-2.2 "xz"-compression is available since
Dovecot version 2.2.9.
Today I tried to convert my mailboxes with the new xz compression.

'virsh capabilities' on Debian Wheezy-amd64 reports different cpu to Wheezy-i386 (on same hardware)
Hi
On a range of Dell servers containing Intel 64bit processors, 'virsh
capabilities' reports the cpu differently on Debian Wheezy-amd64 and
Wheezy-i386. The results given by the Wheezy-i386 version seem very
wrong (since n270 is an Atom processor). Apart from architecture, the
package versions of libvirt-bin are identical: 1.2.1-1~bpo70+1.
/usr/share/libvirt/cpu_map.xml files are

apt pinning specific dovecot version
I currently have the dovecot-core package from wheezy-backports pinned on one of my servers to version '2.2.9', which has been working great. I now want to upgrade that to the newest version under wheezy-backports which is:
dovecot-core (1:2.2.13-11~bpo70+1)
but I can't figure out how to get do it. I've tried a few different formats of the name but apt-get update then apt-get

LibVirt + QEMU & no-shutdown
I am currently running LibVirt with Qemu on Debian Wheezy:
Versions:
- libvirtd (libvirt) 1.2.4
- qemu-x86_64 version 2.0.0 (Debian 2.0.0+dfsg-4~bpo70+1), Copyright (c)
2003-2008 Fabrice Bellard
It's all working perfectly, including ACPI: virsh shutdown guest. However
when I issue "halt" from the guest, the guest stops but libvirt thinks it
is still running: (virsh list

I don?t recomend to use Bind 9.8.1 / 9.8.2 anymore - most distro use it but the shuold move due DLZ compile & bind bugs.
and 9.8 soon goes on end of Life see https://kb.isc.org/article/AA-01211/81/BIND-9.8.8-Release-Notes.html

Hi everyone,
I have the exact same problem as this:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=772154
But the Samba version is different and much newer (Debian
Wheezy 2:4.1.17+dfsg-1~bpo70+1). B
asically many errors appear about non existing usershares. These fake
usershares are just the user name, but truncated of the last character.

- stop samba, install new deb package, do some actions recommended in
changelogs and start samba again (on
