Re: Libvirt Live Migration
I installed CentOS 7 which supported by default a newer version of qemu-kvm
(qemu-kvm-1.5.3-60.el7.x86_64.rpm) but this time I got new error:
<< error: internal error: unable to execute QEMU command 'migrate': this
feature or command is not currently supported >>
but it's kind of wired because qemu-kvm-1.0 supported already live
migration, so a newer version should also

There's your problem. 'qemu-kvm' on CentOS 6 does not support live disk
operations, because it was derived from RHEL 6 where Red Hat did not

qemu-kvm-rhev
I recently ran into some problems using certain oVirt (3.3) features
on CentOS 6.4 hosts.
The solution was to use the qemu-kvm-rhev version from the EL6 RHEV repository:
http://ftp.redhat.com/pub/redhat/linux/enterprise/6Server/en/RHEV/SRPMS/qemu-kvm-rhev-0.12.1.2-2.355.el6_4.9.src.rpm
It seems that this tree is not carried/built by CentOS.
Are there any plans on the CentOS for carrying these

virsh list hangs / guests not starting automatically
I followed the wiki[1] to create a KVM virtual machine using bridged
network on CentOS 6.5. It seemed to work fine on initial setup.
(FWIW I'm trying to run a MythBuntu guest.) However, after a reboot,
it doesn't auto-start the VMs.
Shortly after boot, if I go into "virsh", then do a "list", it just
hangs. Likewise, if I go into "virt manager", it just

qemu-kvm rebuild in Centos for oVirt in SIG Virt
Hi guys,
As we discussed in the last CentOS SIG Virt meeting below the steps that
we do to rebuild the qemu-kvm from http://vault.centos.org to enable the
rhev-features like live snapshot for CentOS.
1. Download the last qemu-kvm from
http://vault.centos.org/${version}/updates/Source/SPackages/
2. mock -D "${build_version}" -r epel-6-x86_64 --with=rhev-features
--rebuild

Re: Can't create any KVM template due to the error with libguestfs
Hi,
Two doubts.
1. What I've to replace in "NEEDED"? or I need to just run the whole
command you given
2. You mean this one,
rpm -qa | grep libguestfs*

New CentOS7 Install Yum will not work
Hi Everyone:
I have been fighting this all morning. I did a new (several) installs of
CentOS7. Yum will not update the system. I have disabled ipv6, set
yum.conf to use IPv4 only, disabled firewalld, disabled selinux, used both
static ip and dhcp for network connectivity. I can ping any where on the
Internet, including the mirrors, DNS works and ensured the base URL line
was uncommented. Any

Joining the SIG - oVirt project
Hi,
I just joined the CentOS-virt call yesterday for the first time and it was a pleasure to meet you there.
My name is Sandro Bonazzola[1] and I'm a member of the integration team and the release engineering manager for oVirt project[2].
oVirt is an open source alternative to VMware vSphere, and provides an excellent KVM management interface for multi-node virtualization.
On each release we

roadmap & development
Hi there,
I'm very interested in oVirt as a management interface for a VM setup we're building, however it seems as though there isn't much info on the product roadmap or active development. I'm wondering if anyone could point me to more information on the roadmap or commit activity on the project?
Regards,
Anthony

Gluster volume not mounted
Good morning Gluster users,
I'm very new to the Gluster file system. My apologies if this is not the
correct way to seek assistance. However, I would appreciate some insight
into understanding the issue I have.
I have three nodes running two volumes, engine and data. The third node is
the arbiter on both volumes. Both volumes were operation fine but one of
the volumes, data, no longer
