[PATCH -next 0/7] drm: Remove many unnecessary NULL values
The NULL initialization of the pointers assigned by kzalloc() or kunit_kzalloc() first is not necessary, because if the kzalloc() or kunit_kzalloc() failed, the pointers will be assigned NULL, otherwise it works as usual. so remove it. [PATCH 0/3] protocol: Abstract out socket operations.
I've been taking a long hard look at the protocol layer. It has evolved over a long time without any particular direction, and the result is, to say the least, not very organized. These patches take a first step at cleaning up the mess by abstracting out socket operations from the rest of the code. The purpose of this is to allow us to slot in a different connection layer under the

[PATCH libnbd 0/5] copy: Allow human sizes for --queue-size, etc
See companion patch: Subject: [PATCH nbdkit] server: Move size parsing code (nbdkit_parse_size) to common/include This is the second part of the patch. It adds the new human_size_parse function to libnbd and then uses it for parsing --queue-size, --request-size and --sparse. The main complication here is that there was already a common/utils/human-size.h header which ends up (eventually)

[PATCH v2] Add progress bars
This is an updated and extended version of the original patch: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2010-August/msg00163.html This adds OCaml and Perl bindings (both tested), support for progress bars in virt-resize, and adds progress notifications to a number of the simpler commands. Still to do is to add progress messages to more commands. There are still a few commands which would be

Issue with downloading files whose path contains multi-byte utf-8 characters
Hey, When downloading a file whose path contains multi-byte utf-8, libguestfs sometimes crashes. This reproduces when using python, and not when using guestfish. Wrap "copy/nbd-ops.c" at 80 characters. I couldn't find a way to test that this change is unobservable. Re: guestfs_launch gets stuck
Thanks Rich. I have used libguestfs for several month. It worked perfectly before, the issue appears recently. I am trying guestfs_set_backend (g, "direct"). [PATCH 0/4] Small refactorings of the protocol layer.
As the start of work to add remote support, I'm taking a close look at the protocol layer in the library. These are some small cleanups. Rich.

[PATCH libnbd v4] lib/errors.c: Fix assert fail in exit path in multi-threaded code
When a highly multi-threaded program such as nbdcopy encounters an error, there is a race condition in the library which can cause an assertion failure and thus a core dump: (1) An error occurs on one of the threads. nbdcopy calls exit(3). (2) In lib/errors.c, the destructor calls pthread_key_delete. (3) Another thread which is still running also encounters an error, and inside libnbd the

[PATCH libnbd v3] lib/errors.c: Fix assert fail in exit path in multi-threaded code
This version simply removes the call to pthread_key_destroy. It fixes the problem and allows us to leave the asserts alone so we can still catch real errors. Of course this leaks pthread_key_t in the case where you dlclose() the library. glibc has a limit of 128 thread-specific keys (and the first 32 are somehow "fast" in a way I could quite follow), so that's a thing. Rich.
