Nice way to expose the flags!

[PATCH nbdkit v2 0/7] Implement nbdkit API v2 for Python plugins.
v3 was here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-November/msg00209.html
In v4:
- Rebase on top of current master. Includes various fixes and
updates required because of Nir's patches that went into master.
- Fix api_version() -> API_VERSION in patch 2 noted previously on the
mailing list.
Rich.

[PATCH nbdkit v3 0/7] Implement nbdkit API v2 for Python plugins.
v2 was here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-November/msg00163.html
I pushed patch 1 (with spelling fix), patch 4 and patch 5 since those
were previously ACKed on the list.
Differences in v3:
- Add error checking to PyModule_AddIntConstant.
- Use API_VERSION constant instead of function.
- Add max API version supported to --dump-plugin output.
- Print API_VERSION selected by

Offline Deduplication for Btrfs V2
Just a quick update, I''ve dropped the hashing stuff in favor of doing a memcmp
in the kernel to make sure the data is still the same. The thing that takes a
while is reading the data up from disk, so doing a memcmp of the entire buffer
isn''t that big of a deal, not to mention there''s a possiblity for malicious
users if there is a problem with the hashing algorithms we

[PATCH 03/12] Btrfs: Rewrite btrfs_drop_extents
Rewrite btrfs_drop_extents by using btrfs_duplicate_item, so we can
avoid calling lock_extent within transaction.

[PATCH nbdkit v2 02/10] python: Add various constants to the API.
These are accessible from the plugin by:
import nbdkit
if flags & nbdkit.FLAG_MAY_TRIM:
&c.
Many (all?) of these are not yet useful for plugins, some will never
be useful, but they only consume a tiny bit of memory and it's nice to
have the complete set available for future use.

[nbdkit PATCH 0/2] More language bindings for .list_exports
This picks up python and ocaml. Some of our languages are lacking a
number of bindings (for example, lua and perl lack .extents, so I
didn't have anything to copy from), and I felt less comfortable with
golang and rust. But for python and ocaml, I was able to test a
working implementation.

Offline Deduplication for Btrfs
Here are patches to do offline deduplication for Btrfs. It works well for the
cases it''s expected to, I''m looking for feedback on the ioctl interface and
such, I''m well aware there are missing features for the userspace app (like
being able to set a different blocksize). If this interface is acceptable I
will flesh out the userspace app a little more, but I believe the

[PATCH 0 of 2] libxl: add libxl_domain_config_init
The following series implements libxl_domain_config_init as per the
libxl API requirement that each type has an init function.
The first function does this in an open coded manner and is proposed
for Xen 4.2.
The second function is RFC only since it moves the definition of this
type into the IDL and makes the required infrastructure updates to
enable this. I think this is more 4.3 material at

[PATCH 1/2 v3] Btrfs: use flag EXTENT_DEFRAG for snapshot-aware defrag
We''re going to use this flag EXTENT_DEFRAG to indicate which range
belongs to defragment so that we can implement snapshow-aware defrag:
We set the EXTENT_DEFRAG flag when dirtying the extents that need
defragmented, so later on writeback thread can differentiate between
normal writeback and writeback started by defragmentation.
This patch is used for the latter one.

Cross-project NBD extension proposal: NBD_INFO_INIT_STATE
I will be following up to this email with four separate threads each
addressed to the appropriate single list, with proposed changes to:
- the NBD protocol
- qemu: both server and client
- libnbd: client
- nbdkit: server
The feature in question adds a new optional NBD_INFO_ packet to the
NBD_OPT_GO portion of handshake, adding up to 16 bits of information
that the server can advertise to the
