[libnbd PATCH 0/3] Expose server block size constraints
Necessary when writing a client that wants to avoid unnecessary EINVAL errors from sending unaligned requests. At some point, we may want to add synchronous convenience API wrappers that do request splitting or read-modify-write to obey server constraints while still appearing to the library client as accepting any possible request. But such a wrapper should only be synchronous and not copied to

[RFC nbdkit PATCH 0/3] aligned .extents
Ultimately, both the blocksize and swab filters want to return aligned extents to the client. I'm posting this as a snapshot of my work in progress on how I plan to get there (it's not quite working yet, but I'm done for today and wanted to at least document my ideas). I might also add a convenience function for nbdkit_extents_offset, since we have a number of filters that repeat the

[PATCH v3 0/6] NBD 64-bit extensions (spec only)
v2 was here: https://lists.debian.org/nbd/2022/11/msg00030.html The bulk of the changes since then are: - forbid NBD_OPT_EXPORT_NAME once extended headers are negotiated (Wouter) - consistently use 'maximum payload', rather than a haphazard mix of 'maximum block payload' (Vladimir) At this point, I want to make sure we are happy with the spec before re-posting patches for

multi stream decode
Hi, I don't understand how works the multi stream api in opus. I need to send two mono streams over network with RTP. I think I'm right when I create an OpusMsDecoder with opus_multistream_decoder_create (48000, 2, 2 ,0 ,mapping, NULL) where mapping is: unsigned char mapping[2] = {0,1} isn't it ? Next, i need to encode data which I get from jack (float) so I use

3.5.6 rpcclient settdriver error
Hi, I have Centos 5.5 64b with Sernet samba 3.5.6-43.el5 packages. It is configured as domain member server, providing file and printer services. I can connect with: "rpcclient -Uveiko localhost", enumdrivers and enumprinters work, both printer and driver are listed, but when I'm trying to set driver to printer: "setdriver pdf-ipunkt "HP Color LaserJet 5/5M PS"

[PATCH v2 2/3] drm: switch drm_fb_xrgb8888_to_rgb565_dstclip to accept __iomem dst
Not all archs have the __io_virt() macro, so cirrus can't simply convert pointers that way. The drm format helpers have to use memcpy_toio() instead. This patch makes drm_fb_xrgb8888_to_rgb565_dstclip() accept a __iomem dst pointer and use memcpy_toio() instead of memcpy(). The helper function (drm_fb_xrgb8888_to_rgb565_line) has been changed to process a single scanline. Signed-off-by:

[nbdkit PATCH v2 0/5] structured replies/.extents for nbd plugin
Updated based on other changes that have happened in the meantime: - rely more on cleanup.h (throughout) - split structured read for easier review (patch 2 and 3 were combined in v1) - rely on nbdkit not leaking a server's partial answer (patch 3) - add tests (patch 5) - other bug fixes I found while testing it - drop EOVERFLOW patch for now; it will be separate once upstream NBD protocol

Cannot join Ubuntu12.04 Samba 4.1.17 to domain
Hi all I'm desperate now. On one of the sites I cannot connect Ubuntu to Windows AD 2003. Error below. On exactly the same setup but on a different network and also on VirtualBox VMs everything works as expected. Looks like something on the network then or mission parameter. Error is about KDC but I can successfully do kinit and get ticket. I can also successfully run: sudo net ads info

[PATCH v10 0/2] s390: virtio: let arch validate VIRTIO features
Hi all, The goal of the series is to give a chance to the architecture to validate VIRTIO device features. The tests are back to virtio_finalize_features. No more argument for the architecture callback which only reports if the architecture needs guest memory access restrictions for VIRTIO. I renamed the callback to arch_has_restricted_virtio_memory_access, and the config option to

[nbdkit PATCH 0/7] Implement structured replies in nbd plugin
I'm hoping to implement .extents for the nbd plugin; this is a prerequisite. I'm not sure about patch 3 - if we like it, I'll squash it to 2, if we don't, I think we are okay just dropping it. I'm also wondering if we have to worry about malicious plugins that don't populate the entire .pread buffer in an effort to get nbdkit to expose portions of the heap; my patch 7 loses

[PATCH v2 3/6] spec: Add NBD_OPT_EXTENDED_HEADERS
Add a new negotiation feature where the client and server agree to use larger packet headers on every packet sent during transmission phase. This has two purposes: first, it makes it possible to perform operations like trim, write zeroes, and block status on more than 2^32 bytes in a single command. For NBD_CMD_READ, replies are still implicitly capped by the maximum block payload limits

[PATCH nbdkit] tar as a filter.
For review only, this needs some clean up and more tests. My eyes are going cross-eyed looking at the calculate_offset_of_entry function, so time to take a break ... Rich.

[PATCH, RFC 0/13] OTP: add auth_cache_remove()
This patchset add support for One-Time-Password authentication mechanisms, both S/Key (RFC 1731) and OTP (RFC 2444) are implemented. Tested with mutt (uses cyrus sasl library for authentication). Patches were made against CVS HEAD. Please take a look. Add auth_cache_remove() function which will be used by OTP code to evict old entries from auth cache. diff -urdpNX /usr/share/dontdiff -x
