[PATCH nbdkit RFC 2/2] curl: Implement authorization scripts.
This rather complex feature solves a problem for certain web services that require a cookie or token for access, especially one which must be periodically renewed. For motivation on this see the included documentation, and item (1)(b) here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-July/msg00069.html --- plugins/curl/nbdkit-curl-plugin.pod | 120 +++++++++++ plugins/curl/Makefile.am

[PATCH nbdkit v2] curl: Implement header and cookie scripts.
Evolution of this patch series: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-July/thread.html#00073 Instead of auth-script, this implements header-script and cookie-script. It can be used for similar purposes but the implementation is somewhat saner. Rich.

[PATCH nbdkit] curl: Try to share as much as possible between handles in the pool
I'm mainly posting this to the list as a back-up. It does work, it does _not_ improve performance in any noticable way. However I'm having lots of trouble getting HTTP/2 to work (with or without this patch) and that's stopping me from testing anything properly. Rich.

[PATCH nbdkit] curl: Try to share as much as possible between handles in the pool
Using the libcurl share interface we can share data between the separate curl easy handles in the pool. For more about this see: https://curl.se/libcurl/c/CURLSHOPT_SHARE.html https://gist.github.com/bagder/7eccf74f8b6d70b5abefeb7f288dba9b https://everything.curl.dev/libcurl/sharing --- plugins/curl/curldefs.h | 3 +- plugins/curl/curl.c | 4 ++- plugins/curl/pool.c | 75

Problems Compiling samba on HP-UX 11.00
Problems Compiling samba (samba-3.0.21a) on HP-UX 11.00 We have been experiencing some problems compiling samba with the config options below. When compiling the auth_script.c make fails. As a fix, we removed the conditional if/else/endif statements on lines 143/149/155 and it now seems to compile. Has anyone else had any similar problem when compiling without the ldap features or similar

[nbdkit PATCH] curl: use CURLINFO_CONTENT_LENGTH_DOWNLOAD_T when available
Use CURLINFO_CONTENT_LENGTH_DOWNLOAD_T for curl_easy_getinfo() (added in curl 7.55.0) to get the length of a remote file, instead of the old CURLINFO_CONTENT_LENGTH_DOWNLOAD. This way the size is already a 64-bit integer value, as opposed to a double (the old information). --- plugins/curl/curl.c | 23 +++++++++++++++++++++++ 1 file changed, 23 insertions(+) diff --git a/plugins/curl/curl.c

I am trying to compile samba4 for a raspberry pi. I just want it to be able to share a folder of files. I do not need or want all the functionality and features of a full blown samba installation. Hi, I just compiled samba 3.0.23 on our Sun Solaris 8 server. 3.0.22 was running fine and I used the same compiler options for 3.0.23. $ ./configure --with-acl-support --prefix=/usr/local/samba3023 --with-quotas --with-included-popt --without-ldap --with-vfs gcc version 3.4.2 GNU Make 3.80 Running make now throws a lot these warnings: [-snip-] Linking nsswitch/libnss_wins.so ld: warning:

patch to support custom HTTP headers in download.file() and url()
The patch below adds support for custom HTTP headers in download.file() and url(). My main motivation for this is performing basic http authentication. Some web sites do not support embedding the credentials into the URI itself, they only work if the username and password are sent in the HTTP headers. In fact specifying the username and password in the URI has been

Icecast on Raspberry Pi
Is it possible to make Icecast run, for serving no more than 16 listeners, on Raspberry Pi? I simply want to dip my toe into the Linux universe, and this would be a fine excuse for me to try RP if it's doable. Thanks. Which Icecast Version are you using? This sounds like a bug that was fixed in recent versions. 2.4 is not exact enough, we need to know the full version number, please :) On 2 Nov 2016, at 10:52, unosonic wrote: > > hello, > > this is a bit special I guess... > Icercast 2.4 > > I have several mounts of type=normal, with staticly defined > user/password > as well as
