Default lib/include dirs location in OS X
Hi,
I have installed libvirt via Homebrew = compiled from source
<https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/blob/master/Library/Formula/libvirt.rb>
.
Then I wanted to install *ruby-libvirt*
gem install ruby-libvirt
and end up with this error:

Wine'ing Windows Terminal Server Client
I've tried multiple ways to get into terminal server via WINE, but have had no success. I've got Notes, Service Center, Internet Explorer... pretty much all running smoothly... but when I try to use Internet explorer to get into it, I get a box that is outlined where the desktop is supposed to be (on the IE screen, and an object load error in the IE Log)...
I then tried to run mstsc.exe

Sharp ZQ-290s sync software
Hi,
Since Sharps communication protocols are "top secret", I'm trying to
port their sync software to linux.
I'm new to wine, so this might be silly, but after hours of googling and
searching for solutions I'm posting this.
After installing DCOM98.exe, the Desktop software installed, and it
runs. Only problem is it doesn't detect the device connected to the
serial port

INQUIRY, was: RE: smbpasswd not finding smbpasswd file
I have difficulties.
I'm running samba-2.1-19991203.tar.gz, and get the following error:
Domain password server not available.
Can't setup password database vectors.
Sander -- thanks. This is an excellent troubleshooting move. Once we can
find people who do and don't have problems, we can exploit the differences.
Thanks

dd iso to flash drive
Booting from the USB requires that there is a syslinux directory to boot
off of. In EL6, there is only isolinux, which is what booting from a DVD
uses. You should be able to copy isolinux to syslinux, rename the files
from s/iso/sys/ and then update syslinux.cfg to point to the USB drive
to boot from. Here's an example from my setup:

MENU LABEL ^A) Boot the next device

Couldn't open device 'LPT1'
I'm trying to run my MP3 player software, but it claims the unit is
not powered on. I'm pretty sure I've got the parallel port set up
right; I think the key bit of output is:
|fixme:dosfs:DOSFS_OpenDevice device open LPT1 not supported (yet)
I'm currently using the package from Debian (testing) - is whatever
it's trying to do supported in more recent versions of WINE?

Hi all,
Not sure if this is on topic or not.
I'm trying to query an SNMP value from centos 6 and I get a bad

Serial Errors
Hi,
I am new to wine and the list. I am using Wine release 20010112
on a RH7.1 (used supplied RPM) to try and run a program to control a video
switcher that doesn't have a linux ported program.
The program starts OK but when it scans the com1 to diagnose the switcher,
it reports a bad serial port or faulty connection. The utility has
no problem under windows. I included a trace using

Dynamic end-point
I'm new to the list, and haven't yet found any searchable archives. So
if this has been answered before, please just point me to it! Thanks!
I'm going to be in a position where one of my end-points will be behind
a firewall/NAT box, so I cannot control either the source address or
port number for the tincd connection. The ISP isn't cooperative, so I
need to find a way to

rsync hangs when copying directories with --hard-links
Hi,
I have a bunch of directories which was generated long ago by Apple's
Mail.app as it walked my entire home directory on a remote server
thinking that it is all part of my IMAP inbox (note, there are
absolutely no files amongst any of these directories). I didn't
realise I had all these hanging around until rsync failed to copy them
(ie, it hangs). This seems to only happen when using

I was trying to contribute to another post and messed up.
The remark on the natiquette still stands, especially toward first

I know it's difficult to keep track of new felons vs. three strikers...

update config.guess and config.sub to support aarch64
Hello,
would it be possible to update config.sub and config.guess to the latest versions (or at least version
from automake-1.13.1) in order to support new architectures based on the ARM 64 bit CPU?
Patch: http://plautrba.fedorapeople.org/openssh/openssh-latest-config.sub-config.guess.patch
Related Fedora bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=926284
Thanks,
