[nbdkit PATCH 0/2] ext2 export list tweaks
Applies on top of my pending series for the exportname filter, addressing one of the todo's in that cover letter. [PATCH 0/9] Quota support for ocfs2-tools (version 3)
Hi, below comes a new version of the series of patches implementing quota support for ocfs2-tools. I've fixed the calls of ocfs2_malloc_blocks() which were given number of bytes instead of number of blocks. Besides that the series should be the same. Honza

[PATCH 0/9] Quota support for ocfs2-tools (version 2)
Hi, this is the next version of quota support for quota tools. I've addressed all the comments of Tao, Joel and others. Sparse feature disabling also correctly updates quota information now and the patch is merged into the tunefs support patch. Honza

[PATCH 0/8] Quota support for ocfs2-tools
Hi, I'm sending a series of patches implementing quota support into ocfs2-tools. It's the same as the original huge patch I've sent but now it's split as Joel asked. I've also realized that when disabling SPARSE feature, we should update quota information. That piece of code is missing, I'll implement it soon. Comments welcome. Honza

[nbdkit PATCH v3 00/14] exportname filter
It's been several weeks since I posted v2 (I got distracted by improving libnbd to better test things, which in turn surfaced some major memory leak problems in nbdsh that are now fixed). Many of the patches are minor rebases from v2, with the biggest changes being fallout from: - patch 2: rename nbdkit_add_default_export to nbdkit_use_default_export - overall: this missed 1.22, so update

[nbdkit PATCH v2 0/2] Bounce buffer cleanups
Based on Rich's review of my v1 that touched only cache.c, I have now tried to bring all three filters with alignment rounding in line with one another. There is definitely room for future improvements once we teach nbdkit to let filters and plugins advertise block sizes, but I'm hoping to get NBD_CMD_CACHE implemented first. [PATCH nbdkit 1/3] server: Rename global backend pointer to "top".
It's confusing to use the same terminology for a single backend as for the linked list of backends. In particular it's often not clear if we're calling the next backend or the whole chain of backends. --- server/internal.h | 14 ++++++++++-- server/connections.c | 20 ++++++++--------- server/locks.c | 2 +- server/main.c

[nbdkit PATCH 3/3] ext2: Add mode for letting client exportname choose file from image
Not enabled by default, because of the potential security concern that a client can use this to sniff what file names exist in the image; but for an opt-in setting in the server, this lets a single nbdkit process serve multiple files from an ext2 image (one at a time, unless we find a way to allow a filter to open the plugin once without a current connection, then share that opened plugin across

[nbdkit PATCH 0/2] RFC: tweak error handling, add log filter
Here's what I'm currently playing with; I'm not ready to commit anything until I rebase my FUA work on top of this, as I only want to break filter ABI once between releases. [nbdkit PATCH 0/4] More mutex sanity checking
I do have a question about whether patch 2 is right, or whether I've exposed a bigger problem in the truncate (and possibly other) filter, but the rest seem fairly straightforward. [nbdkit PATCH v2 0/6] Improve retry filter
Includes a rework of the previously posted patch for --run improvements (mostly with improved comments and commit message; I decided that waiting for the captive nbdkit to exit was overkill), and four new patches. The tests are intentionally separate, to allow rearranging the order of the series to see the failures being fixed. Eric Blake (6): server: Propagate unexpected nbdkit failure with

[nbdkit PATCH v3 00/15] Add FUA support to nbdkit
After more than a month since v2 [1], I've finally got my FUA support series polished. This is all of my outstanding patches, even though some of them were originally posted in separate threads from the original FUA post [2], [3] [1] https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-January/msg00113.html [2] https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-January/msg00219.html [3]

[PATCH nbdkit filters-v2 0/5] Introduce filters.
Rebased filters patch. Requires current git master + the locks / thread model fix (https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-January/msg00128.html) So a few changes here since last time: The "introduce filters" and "implement filters" patches are squashed together. I introduced a concept of .prepare and .finalize. These run before and after the data serving phase

[nbdkit PATCH v2 0/3] add log, blocksize filters
Since v1: add the blocksize filter, add testsuite coverage of the log filter, several fixes to the log filter based on what adding tests revealed I'm still working on FUA flag support patches on top of this; the patches should all be committed in the same release, as we want to minimize the number of releases that cause a filter ABI/API bump Eric Blake (3): backend: Rework internal/filter

[nbdkit PATCH 0/4] Fix truncate handling of real_size
While working on adding assertions to pthread_mutex_lock calls, I noticed that the truncate filter's use of mutex didn't really protect us, and isn't really necessary. Cleaning that up also spotted a couple of other potential cleanups. Eric Blake (4): filters: Drop useless .open callbacks truncate: Fix corruption when plugin changes per-connection size truncate: Test for safe

[nbdkit PATCH 0/5] Another round of retry fixes
I still don't have .prepare/.finalize working cleanly across reopen, but did find a nasty bug where a botched assertion means we failed to notice reads beyond EOF in both the xz and retry filter. Refactoring backend.c will make .finalize work easier. Eric Blake (5): xz: Avoid reading beyond EOF retry: Check size before transactions tests: Test retry when get_size values change

[nbdkit PATCH 0/5] More retry fixes
I think this is my last round of patches for issues I identified with the retry filter. With this in place, it should be safe to interject another filter in between retry and the plugin. [PATCH nbdkit 0/4] Add fuamode=pass and fuamode=discard
Two hopefully useful additions to the fua filter. The second one is kind of like cache=unsafe in qemu, in that it exchanges correctness for speed. Useful for data which is easily recreated in the event of a crash or for people who like living on the edge and have good backups. Rich.

[PATCH nbdkit filters-v3 0/7] Introduce filters.
This is still tentative and needs a lot of work, but: - partition filter works, supporting MBR & GPT - prepare and finalize methods fixed - open method can now be changed (allowing readonly flag to be modified) - thread_model can be limited I believe I made most of the changes which were previously suggested in email. I think the only one I didn't was preventing inclusion of both
