What is needed to allow Network Browsing of the file server in Windows
I am using Samba as a simple file server but I cannot browse its shares in Windows Explorer. I do not use SMB1. Am I missing a trick or is it not possible without SMB1? I am using ClearOS7 with the Centos7 4.10.4 samba package. My cut down configs (with most of the shares removed) are: [root at server ~]# testparm -s Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf NOTE: Service homes is

Kimchi and noVNC
Hi, I've rebuild Kimchi/Wok 2.5.0 based on ClearOS packages. I've also upgraded noVNC 1.0.0. Unfortunatly the QEMUExtendedKeyEvent which fixes French keyboard's detection doesn't work for me at the moment. But maybe, the problem is located in my QEMU 2.11.0 implementation. If someone want to digg his own way ?

[PATCH] Moves building ovirt-node-image.iso into the ovirt-node repo.
Added a new subdirectory called "isobuilder" to the project. Created a new Makefile that only allows for creating the livecd version of the oVirt node. Adjusted the build environment to work with the kickstart files that are found in the repo and not ones installed via any previous RPM. Signed-off-by: Darryl L. R: R: NUT and relay on USB
So, the hardware way seems too difficult. I see the raspberry documentation in order to understand if it?s possible ?replicate? an USB signal to GPIO. So, with a TTL-USB cable I send the signal to the NVR. I hope this is possible! Repetitive correlation test
Dear all, Through the following code, I wanted to perform correlation test repetedly (through loop) on different combinations of variables of a data set. Code: x=read.table("sample.txt",header=T,sep="\t") out="corout.txt" sink(out) nm = names(x) print(nm) nvr=3 # nvr=Total no. of variables in the input data file for (i in 1:(nvr-1)) { for(j in (i+1):nvr) { frm=

[PATCH v2] Fix: buffer overflow during hvc_alloc().
From: Andrew Melnychenko <andrew at daynix.com> If there is a lot(more then 16) of virtio-console devices or virtio_console module is reloaded - buffers 'vtermnos' and 'cons_ops' are overflowed. In older kernels it overruns spinlock which leads to kernel freezing: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1786239 To reproduce the issue, you can try simple script that

[PATCH] v2v: Fix kernel disambiguation by dropping Epoch field (RHBZ#1669395).
When detecting kernels we have to list the files in the package to find the right /boot/vmlinuz file. In virt-v2v 1.28 we ran: rpm -ql kernel Because multiple kernels can be installed this gave incorrect results, which was reported in RHBZ#1161250 and initially fixed in commit 377bc302f11db3da4263f894c76a7d280fb25dbd. This changed the command to: rpm -ql [epoch:]kernel-version.release

Iterative estimation of linear regression model
Dear all I am intrested in making iterative estimation (thro' loop statements) of, say, linear regression model. For this purpose, I have written the following programme and that I have made use of a sample data (viz., exp.txt): ? PROBLEM: Filesystem became readonly, then kernel crashes on shutdown
Hi All, I just had "an issue" with my Linux 2.6.1 kernel. While working, I tried to rf -rf a directory, and was told my filesystem was mounted readonly (which it wasn't). I then shut the machine down, and on shutdown, I got a "kernel BUG at fs/ext3/super.c: 411". Full report below: Mike [1.] One line summary of the problem: Filesystem became readonly, then
