hivex has a function hivex_value_string. We were not calling it under the mistaken belief that because hivex implements this using iconv, the function wouldn't work inside the daemon. Instead we reimplemented the functionality in the library. This commit deprecates hivex_value_utf8 and removes the library side code. It replaces it with a plain wrapper around hivex_value_string. Hi, I just tagged LLVM 4.0.1-rc3, and it's ready for testing. If all goes well, we will do the final release on Monday. -Tom

The proposed API is the same as v1, but this includes an implementation (for /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-*) and modifications to virt-inspector. This compiles and works. If you look in patch 5 you can see proposed output as virt-inspector XML for a guest (although this guest has not been booted, so a real guest would hopefully have a hwaddr="MAC" attribute too).
