[PATCH] p2v: Send physical server 'dmesg' output to debug dir on conversion server.
If the virt-p2v ISO doesn't contain the correct drivers for the
hardware on the physical server, that can cause peculiar conversion
problems. This was hard to diagnose because we could not see the
'dmesg' output from the physical server.
Upload 'dmesg' output from the physical server (more precisely: from
the virt-p2v ISO's kernel running on the physical server) to the

[PATCH 1/2] configure: visually split the blocks of checks
Add sort of "headers" to split most of the logical sections of the
configure, so it is easier to get feedback on the progress of configure.

[p2v PATCH 0/6] Use GLib a bit more
In an effort to reduce the code, start to use few bits of GLib:
- replace the gnulib c-type module
- replace the gnulib getprogname module
- use g_spawn_sync to launch curl, and drop a file reading function
Pino Toscano (6):
Include glib.h in p2v.h
Use g_ascii_isspace instead of c_isspace from gnulib
Use g_get_prgname instead of getprogname from gnulib
build: remove no more used gnulib

[nbdkit PATCH 0/2] RFC: tighter filter versions
This is not intended for v1.14. In fact, we may decide that the
second patch is too gross, although the first one still seems like a
useful improvement in isolation.
I will also point out that all our filters are in-tree, and set the
user-controlled field .version to the current release string. We
could replace the second patch with a simpler one that just checks
._api_version as an int (as

[PATCH] builder: Allow GnuPG v2 or v1 to be used (RHBZ#1438939).
All of the GPG commands we run are compatible with either v1 or v2, so
this simply involves changing the configure script to find either
binary.

[PATCH] automake: Admit defeat and use 'subdir-objects'.
Because this 'feature' is broken (since 2013):
https://debbugs.gnu.org/cgi/bugreport.cgi?bug=13928
we have to replace all instances of $(top_srcdir) in *_SOURCES lines
with a relative path. According to what I read, this shouldn't break
split builds, but I didn't test it.
The only things automake moans about now are:
* Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated, passed

[PATCH v2] build: Drop serial_tests.
I pushed the (hopefully) completely non-controversial bits
upstream:
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/8a72616bf7bc686ad4d033482541fcd73c148b53
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/b20d36aa1bcabfe1e5eefcf47b727280a6474be8
This patch is what remains.

[PATCH 0/5] Split virt-p2v in own repository
Hi,
as it was already discussed on this list, here it is my attempt in
splitting virt-p2v in an own repository. Sadly there are things that
must be copied from libguestfs, as it cannot be avoided.
The approach taken was to run a script (will send separately) to just
get the "p2v" subdirectory with its history as own repository, and then
add in few followup commits all the bits needed

[virt-v2v] "make distcheck" now passes
There were a few "infelicities" that kept the "make distcheck"
test from passing. These three patches combine to fix all of them,
punting on only one by disabling the install-data-hook rule.

[PATCH v3] build: Drop serial_tests.
Same as v2, except:
- Drop the RUN_OUTPUT_FILE functionality completely. It will be
replaced with enhanced .trs files as discussed.
- Rebase on head.

[PATCH 0/3] p2v, v2v: Ensure the full version is always available in several places.
After debugging a virt-p2v issue with a customer in the middle of the
night on Tuesday, I felt it would have been helpful to know exactly
which version(s) of virt-p2v and virt-v2v they were using. That
wasn't very clear from the log file I was provided with, so this
change makes sure the information is included every time.

It's run by configure (look for the CURRENT_VERSION definition).

[PATCH v4 1/7] v2v: require libvirt
While there are input modes that do not use libvirt, making libvirt
mandatory for virt-v2v slightly simplifies the code now, and allow for
further improvements/integration with libvirt later on.

Observations on compiling on Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
I started with:
- Mac OS X 10.5.8
- Xcode installed
- OCaml from GODI
- qemu from git
autoconf is really ancient (2.61). It doesn't have AM_SILENT_RULES
and although we tried to make things work when autoconf lacks this by
having:
m4_ifndef([AM_SILENT_RULES], [m4_define([AM_SILENT_RULES],[])])
AM_SILENT_RULES([yes]) # make --enable-silent-rules the default.
this nevertheless

Updated CFLAGS patches and make test compilation conditional
Hi Erik,
I've found a middleground for the problem of setting default CFLAGS. I've gone back
to setting them if {C,CXX,CPP,LD}FLAGS are unset at the onset of the configure script
(i.e., the user hasn't specified anything) and then proceed to set them to the defaults
as before. This has been suggested before:

Upstreaming Gentoo patches
Dear FLAC devs,
I would like to get some of our patches merged into master. Most
of them deal with adhering to GNU conventions, respectively not
overriding flags/variables that are up to the user to set. For instance,
honoring $(htmldir) is important, as we have installation paths for the
documentation that differ from what is currently coded in the various
Makefile.am's.
Regards
David
