[PATCH nbdkit 1/3] filters: stats: Show size in GiB, rate in MiB/s
I find bytes and bits-per-second unhelpful and hard to parse. Using GiB for sizes works for common disk images, and MiB/s works for common storage throughput. Here is an example run with this change: $ ./nbdkit --foreground \ --unix /tmp/nbd.sock \ --exportname '' \ --filter stats \ file file=/var/tmp/dst.img \ statsfile=/dev/stderr \ --run 'qemu-img convert

[PATCH nbdkit v3 0/5] filters: stats: More useful, more friendly
This is the third attempt to make the stats filter better. This time I kept the changes minimal to make it eaier to make progress. I tried the idea of showing global stats in separate "total" section, but it became messy and hard to implemnt, so I tried the simpler solution of showing both operation rate and total rate in the operation line. [PATCH nbdkit v2 1/3] filters: stats: Add size in GiB, show rate in MiB/s
I find bytes and bits-per-second unhelpful and hard to parse. Add also size in GiB, and show rate in MiB per second. This works well for common disk images and storage. Here is an example run with this change: $ ./nbdkit --foreground \ --unix /tmp/nbd.sock \ --exportname '' \ --filter stats \ file file=/var/tmp/dst.img \ statsfile=/dev/stderr \ --run 'qemu-img

[PATCH nbdkit v3 5/5] filters: stats: Show total stats
Change the first line to show total ops, time, total size, and rate. The totals are useful for understanding the total throughput of the application. --- filters/stats/nbdkit-stats-filter.pod | 8 ++++---- filters/stats/stats.c | 19 ++++++++++++++++++- 2 files changed, 22 insertions(+), 5 deletions(-) diff --git a/filters/stats/nbdkit-stats-filter.pod

column human names in validation errors
hi, I don''t know how to change field names in error messages. if I add error message like this: errors.add( "age", "You must be at least 18 years old" ) unless age >= 18 when error occures this text is displayed Age You must be at least 18 years old so the first word(s) is column human name for that attribute. how can I change that? of course only in error

[LLVMdev] tools to debug human readable llvm assembly bc code?

I am wondering is there a tool like gdb to help me debug that piece of code? It's not directly executable so no, not really. You could try debugging lli but that's probably pretty painful and is effectively debugging jitted code. You could try to use

Hi Eric, Thanks for the reply. I am very new to llvm so could you elaborate more about you meant by 'debugging lli'? Thanks a lot! Connection to non-human numbers
Greetings listers, I've got 1.4.21.2 using Polycom 501 phones and Zap lines. Most of my calls come in and go out fine with the exception of Mechanized answering devices. When I call my 401K plan (1-800-777-401K) the call will last exactly one minute. The call never bridges, so even though the connection is made, Asterisk hangs up at the end of the Dial command.

Checking for human answer
We redirect calls to another pbx - which are not under our control. So, we need to distinguish when an operator answer from the time the call stays on queue. To do so, we use dial cmd with M option. M calls a macro that repeats a digit (saydigit) until someone dial it. When operator dials the correct digit we finish the macro making it to be bridged (caller and called). It almost works

TINC config files layout not human or script friendly
Oops, did I forget to mention how good a design the REST of tinc is, operationally speaking.
