Currently 'make install' installs the virt-p2v binary in /usr/libexec/virt-p2v on the host. It is never supposed to be run from there, even by another program, so use of /usr/libexec is incorrect. libguestfs is a set of tools for reading and modifying disk images and virtual machines. virt-v2v and virt-p2v are tools for converting guests from foreign hypervisors (especially VMware, Xen), or physical machines, to run on KVM (eg. virt-manager, OpenStack/RHOS or oVirt/RHEV). I finally worked out what's going on with livecd-creator. It's this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1182362 and the workaround is trivial: just add 'tar' to the list of packages in the kickstart. I will add this to the p2v.ks upstream shortly. I'm also building a 32 bit ISO based on Fedora 22 which will go on the website later today (if it works). Rich.
