Morrowind sees wine as a debugger and refuses to start.
Hello list, I successfully installed Morrowind. Unfortunately, the game won't start. It issues a small popup saying a debugger has been detected, and that the debugger needs to be closed for the game to run. Is there any way I can avoid programs to see Wine as a debugger? Thanks! _________________________________________________________________ MSN Messenger : discutez en direct avec vos

problems with games
I've bought my 12 yr old son a used laptop (Dell Latitude D600) and convinced him to use a version of linux unstead of Windows. The laptop came with PCLinuxOS release 2007. He really wants to be able to run some of his games, so I used the Synaptic Package Manager to install Wine. The version available for PCLinuxOS was Wine 0.9.58. So far I've tried two games, and I've struck out

The Sims won't run with debugger
G'day, I'm using a cvs version from a few days ago, and I've just installed The Sims and its Livin' Large and House Party extensions with minimal fuss (the icons were missing in the first setup/autorun screens). Trying to run the program, it displays a dialog with the title "A debugger has been detected" and the text "Unload the debugger and try again". So,

ZBrush 2 - Unhandled exception (thread 0009), starting debugger -
Hi, I'm having big troubles in installing and running Zbrush 2 with WineHQ. I've compiled different versions of wine (included the last one) and each one gives me the same messages and errors. I've tried to install ZBrush with the installer, but it hangs in the middle of the process. So I've installed it on Windows to get the files extracted. When I run ZBrush.exe on wine I

Problems running the game GUN from Neversoft.
Hello! I have installed Wine 0.9.55 (pretty sure of that) on my Mandriva 2008. I tried to install the game GUN from Neversoft. (It works fine on windows Vista). On the distribution it says that it is compatible on Windows 2000 and XP. But when I try to install it it seems to work, but when I try to run it I get an error in a popup. Right now I'm at office and do not exactly remember the

[LLVMdev] [lldb-dev] [cfe-dev] What does "debugger tuning" mean?
In some cases we do want to make the decision based on the target. For Hexagon, we don't support GDB anymore, only LLDB, so we always want LLDB tuning. The clang driver should have a way to specify that. -- Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. Morrowind sees wine as a debugger and refuses to start.
Thanks to everyone who helped on that one. I managed to install and run Morrowind. I had to play around quite a bit before I succeeded and forgot the exact steps I followed. But here are a few things I remember: - I eventually recreated my fake drive as I was getting weird behaviors. - I had to reinstall dcom98 for the installer to run at all. - I upgraded and used a nocd patch. The game

Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun debugger issue?
I'm certain this question has been answered a million times over the years. However, I've not been able yet to find the answer either on AppDB or as so far as I have looked on the archive. When I attempt to run Tiberian Sun, if I set my 'windows version' to Windows 98, I get an error stating that there is a debugger detected; unload debugger and try again. If I set my

[LLVMdev] MCJIT debugger registration interface.
Hi All, I'd like to revisit the MCJIT debugger-registration system, as the existing system has a few flaws, some of which are seriously problematic. The 20,000 foot overview of the existing scheme (implemented in llvm/lib/ExecutionEngine/RuntimeDyld/GDBRegistrar.cpp and friends), as I understand it, is as follows: We have two symbols in MCJIT that act as fixed points for the debugger to

Graphics problem with old W95 game (Panzer General 2)
Hello all, Ubuntu (Dapper) newbie here. I installed Ubuntu two days ago. Also installed Wine. Wine appears somewhat ok. I installed and can run Filezilla. I also have a windows game (Steel Panthers World at War) that installed ok, and appears to play ok, though the movement is a little slow and a little choppy. Anyways, I'm trying to run a W95 game, Panzer General 2. The Wine site says it

[LLVMdev] Debugger for Register Allocation
Hi guys, I have been using a debugger for my register allocator. The debugger happened to be very useful at catching register assignment errors. I've put the debugger on-line, if anyone who is working with register allocation wants to use. The debugger itself has nothing to do with LLVM, but I've coded a spiller that prints the code in a format that the debugger can read. The
