Re: virt-v2v slow when running inside the VM
thanks Richard, The experiment was indeed done with nested VM enabled. I am not sure about the internals, but i thought once overlay is setup the 2 main processes are sshd and qemu-img convert (reading data from sshd and doing the conversion) I don't see any of the qemu process running. Initial overlay setup was pretty quick and rest of the time was spent in qemu-img convert operation Suresh

Re: virt-v2v slow when running inside the VM
I eliminated software-bridge( using iperf3 bandwidth/latency on the host and guest was almost the same) and disk write(using qemu-img convert src dest file both on the host and guestvm was comprable) being the issue. Next I profiled both sshd and qemu-img during the conversion phase using bpftools (profile and tcptop) and this is what i see. Time (min) File Size (KB) sshd RX (KB) tcptop

"hiding" and "vetoing" files (for Samba 2.2.2 & Windows Explorer)
We're running Samba 2.2.2 on an RS/6000 (AIX 4.3.3) using Windows 95 clients. We've tried the "hide files" and "veto files" option in smb.conf, but when the shares are mapped, we can still see the contents in Windows Explorer. We used the wildcard for all the contents of the shares (ex. hide files = /*.*/). The Samba manual only makes reference to Windows 98, so

DirectShow Theora Issue with RGB24
Hi, I hope you can help, I am in need of some assistance with the DirectShow filters for Theora. I have successfully created a working capture graph using OGG / Vorbis / Theora, however, when I add a Sample Grabber Directshow filter between the FFDShow decoder and Theora Encoder, this results in the video file being mirrored vertically. I have noticed that the original CaptureGraph was using

sip to oh323 converter converts sip uri to h.323 number and not h.323 url
Hello, i have set up an asterisk sip to h.323 convertor, it is working OK. The only problem i have is this : For example when my identity is 12345@some.domain , and i call a sip number from a sip phone, the called party sees my identity (caller identity) as 12345@some.domain, which is the way it has to be. But when i call from the same phone with the same identity a h.323 endpoint (asterisk

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Proposal for Adding SPIRV Target
Here is the revised proposal for the LLVM/SPIR-V converter. Please comment. Thanks. Proposal of Adding SPIRV Target Background SPIR-V is a portable binary format for OpenCL kernels and GLSL shaders. A typical use case of SPIR-V is as follows: 1. An application developer uses Clang to compile an OpenCL kernel source code to a SPIR-V binary which is common for all OpenCL platforms. 2.

Stemmer Modifications
I'm using Xapian as a search back-end on a website. My client has certain search terms that the stemmer does not stem in a way they would like. For example "continuity" stems to "continu", which produces undesirable results in their application. Is there a way to override the stemming of certain words in a way that is compatible with the indexing stemmer and the query
