[nbdkit PATCH v3] vddk: Drive library loading from libdir parameter.
From: "Richard W.M. Jones" <rjones@redhat.com> Do not use LD_LIBRARY_PATH to locate the VDDK library. Setting this always causes problems because VDDK comes bundled with broken replacements for system libraries, such as libcrypto.so and libstdc++.so. Two problems this causes which we have seen in the real world: (1) User does ‘export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=vmware-vix-disklib-distrib’

Three new releases
Hi, I'm announcing two new releases of opus, along with the first release of the new libopusenc library. First for opus, we just fixed a bad bug in the surround encoding code that would cause very bad quality on signals beyond a certain amplitude. Thanks to Franziska Trojahn and others from HfT Leipzig for finding this issue through their listening test[1] (the quality of the two bad files

nbdkit build failure in Koji

problems compiling packages | 3.3.0 | Linux
Updated my R install on my GNU/Linux boxes (running CentOS 6.8) from 3.2.x -> 3.3.0, using latest from epel (i.e., not compiling from source), and while said upgrade seemed to go fine, am now (post-upgrade) having all sorts of problems with getting some (but not all) packages to compile (either during an initial install attempt, or upgrade to existing packages). For example, if I try to

[PATCH] [v3] ddrescue mapfile filter
This allows to overlay bad sectors according to the mapfile generated by ddrescue, to then see where sectors are used using fsck and trying to copy files around. Should now be mature enough to be useful to someone else. And we have a proper test also. Signed-off-by: François Revol <revol@free.fr> --- configure.ac | 2 + filters/ddrescue/Makefile.am

Two problems this causes which we have seen in the real world: (1) User does ‘export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=vmware-vix-disklib-distrib’ and that breaks lots of ordinary utilities on their system. (2)
