[PATCH 0/8] v2v: various fixed for -o rhv-upload
This patch series fixes various issues in the rhv-upload output mode: - properly find and use RHV resources - cleanup orphan disks, and possibly the current disk transfer on failure In reality, the first 4 patches deal with resources, and the other 4 with cleanups. The latter block can be theoretically sent alone -- I just happened to start working on it as part of my "let's fix

[PATCH 0/3] v2v: -o rhv-upload: Add a test.
This adds a test of -o rhv-upload. Obviously for an upstream test we cannot require a working oVirt server. This test works by faking the ovirtsdk4 Python module, setting PYTHONPATH so that the fake module is picked up instead of the real module (if installed). However it's more complex than that because the nbdkit plugin also expects to talk to a working imageio HTTPS server. Therefore

[PATCH 1/8] v2v: -o rhv-upload: split vmcheck out of precheck
Split the VM existance check out of the precheck script to a new vmcheck script, and invoke that in #prepare_targets. Invoke the precheck script in #precheck, as now it can be run with only values of command line options. This does not change which checks are performed; however, an invalid cluster name will make virt-v2v fail way earlier (even before connecting to the source). ---

[PATCH v2 0/3] v2v: -o rhv-upload: Add a test.
v1 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-September/msg00121.html v2: - Rewrote patch 2 from scratch so it incorporates Nir's suggestions. - Add fake module to EXTRA_DIST. - Retested. Unfortunately I am no longer able to test the ordinary conversion path because ovirtsdk4 is incompatible with Fedora 29 / Python 3.7:

[PATCH] v2v: -o rhv-upload: Allow configure commands to set the Python version.
No functional change, but it does allow downstream distributions to adjust the Python interpreter and nbdkit Python plugin used by virt-v2v -o rhv-upload mode: ./configure --with-virt-v2v-python-interpreter=... ./configure --with-virt-v2v-nbdkit-python-plugin=... If you don't set the configure parameters then this change makes no difference. --- .gitignore | 1 + configure.ac

[PATCH RHEL 7] RHEL 7: -o rhv-upload: Use Python 2 instead of Python
For interest only, here is the patch required to make -o rhv-upload work with Python 2 (for RHEL 7). I don't think we want this upstream. A couple of remarks: * It's supposed to be possible to add ‘coding: utf-8’ to the top of .py files to make Python 2 accept that the file is UTF-8 (otherwise it gives an error on loading). However I added this and it didn't appear to make any

[PATCH] v2v: -o rhv-upload: fix the phony ovirtsdk4 module

[PATCH v2v] v2v: -o rhv-upload: Make -oo rhv-cafile optional in all cases (RHBZ#1791240).
This is actually not required, because ovirtsdk4 will use the system's global trust store if necessary. [PATCH v5 0/4] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
Mainly minor fixes and code cleanups over the v4 patch. There are still several problems with this patch, but it is in a reviewable state, especially the Python code. Rich.

[PATCH v6] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
v5 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-March/msg00032.html There is only a single patch in this version because the other patches went upstream. This patch adds the virt-v2v -o rhv-upload mode (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1557273). Compared to v5, this adds the ability to make zero, trim and flush requests to the oVirt imageio server

[PATCH v8] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode (RHBZ#1557273).
v7 was here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-March/msg00143.html Since then: - Earlier patches are now upstream. - The to-do list is moved from the commit message to the TODO file. - This version forces -of raw + -oa sparse and gives an error in any other mode. We intend to lift these restrictions later. - Tested against latest imageio which supports longer timeouts,

[PATCH 0/5] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
The first four patches are straightforward. The final patch adds the -o rhv-upload output mode. It is still spooling into a temporary file because I've had some trouble getting streaming conversions working. There are other problems as outlined in the commit message, so this patch is not ready for upstream but is good for discussion. Also I hit this, which I'm assuming for now will be

[PATCH 01/11] v2v: Move have_selinux to utils.
This is not quite a neutral refactoring, because it means we now run the getenforce command every time virt-v2v starts up. However it's a trivial command that reads a single /sys file and it can't fail even if the command is missing or on platforms that know nothing about SELinux. --- v2v/input_libvirt_vddk.ml | 4 ---- v2v/output_rhv_upload.ml | 4 ---- v2v/utils.ml | 4

[PATCH v2 0/3] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
This patch set is still for discussion only. See 3/3 for the current list of problems. However this will upload an image to an oVirt or RHV server, although you must have absolutely the latest snapshot version of 4.2 for it to work. Rich.

[PATCH v4 0/3] v2v: Add -o rhv-upload output mode.
Previous versions: v3: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-March/msg00000.html v2: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-February/msg00177.html v1: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2018-February/msg00139.html This completely rethinks the approach taken by the previous patches.
