[PATCH] v2v, p2v: rename rhvm network to ovirtmgmt (RHBZ#1429491)
Since RHV 3.6.10, the default network name is 'ovirtmgmt' instead of
'rhvm'.
This is just a documentation change.

libguestfs error: bridge 'virbr0' not found
Hey,
I am getting this error after using virt-v2v-copy-to-local and trying to
run:
$ virt-v2v -i libvirtxml rhel7.xml -o local -os /var/tmp -of raw
I try to set:
export LIBGUESTFS_BACKEND_SETTINGS=virbr0=ovirtmgmt
with no success and the file /etc/qemu/bridge.conf contains:
allow virbr0
it only worked after creating the bridge, is there other way to import
without creating the bridge?
Thank

Installing from source (git, hg) on a fresh debian box
Oye 3 days on this now, my head hurts. I have spent what seems like 40
hours in the last 3 or 4 days reading, and I realize xen is in the
middle of this transition of getting into mainline kernel, issues with
dom0 etc etc.
Ok, so i have come across a few howtos/tutorials on installing xen
dom0 kernel, using git to download a patched? kernel tree, and getting
xen source from mercurial. Below is my

Virtio: 32bit CentOS 6.4 on VirtualBox to oVirt on Fedora 19 64bit via virt-v2v
Hello,
I've trying to move a 32bit CentOS 6.4 on VirtualBox to oVirt on
Fedora 19 64bit via virt-v2v. The command I'm currently using is:
virt-v2v -i libvirtxml -of qcow2 -oa sparse -o rhev -osd
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:/usr/local/ovirt/exports --network
ovirtmgmt /usr1/home/williams/Downloads/OpenAthens/VMs/OpenAthensLARuntime2.2.xml
The exciting bit of the XML is:

[PATCH] v2v: Fix parsing of OVA files and documentation for --network and --bridge (RHBZ#1559027).
When parsing OVA files we have to work backwards to whether the
original VMware object was a network or a bridge. It seems as if the
presence of <rasd:Connection> is sufficient. I dropped the use of
<rasd:ElementName> since it is literally just an internal name for the
network element, and is not significant in how the network is used.
Also update documentation because you must use

Installation
Hi all,
I''m struggling to install Xen Hypervisor on my PC, but after one week''s
attempt again and again, it still doesn''t work. Anyone can give some
suggestion or helpful link?
1. download the xen 4.0.0 stable tarball from here,
http://www.xen.org/products/xen_source.html
2. unzip the tar and run install.sh and ''make world''
3. make install

I am unable to convert a vm using virt-v2v. From the trace and debug

a permission or configuration issue but I don't know where to start looking.

how to make initrd image for dom0
Hi.
I am trying to make initrd for xen0 but I am not successful. I receive
error:
#yaird error: Could not read output for /sbin/modprobe -v -n
--show-depends --set-version 2.6.16.33-xen0 evdev (fatal).
If I do that just for xen kernel (not xen0) it goes without any problem.
I guest I have to use initrd for xen0 otherwise it does not want to
boot. Similarly, xen kernel without initrd will not

OK, I have just pushed out klibc-0.130; it significantly updates the run-init

identical to, Alexander's suggestions; it also adds s390/x patches from Arnd

Xen 3.1.0 initrd and kernel building
Hi, had a few problems with using xen:
First:
built a xen from source (tgz) and make dist ... then made initrd with
mkinitrd and modules=all in the
mkinitrd.conf -> initrd.img was 14mb and set it up in the grub with
module /initrd....
on boot it loads the initrd like:
Loading ramdisk into ram .... done
but then NO MODULES in the initrd are being loaded by the kernel, though
