guestmount fails after linux kernel update 01/10/2018
Hello,
I had been using guestmount to mount a raw image and it has been working
great until I updated the kernel on 01/10/2018. I am running ubuntu 16.04
LTS, and have changed the read permissions to the vmlinuz as I have done
with previous kernels. The only change to my system between working and not
working is the kernel update from this morning. I am concerned this might
be related to the

VmBuilder released
At the prompting of several kind souls on the list, I''ve placed an early
release of my Virtual Machine Builder gem on rubyforge at
http://rubyforge.org/projects/vmbuilder/. Documentation at
http://vmbuilder.rubyforge.org/
The gem builds Xen masters and Xen based VMs from scratch using Debian that
are ready to accept Rails apps (although at the moment it is missing the Web
server part!).

ubuntu, libvirt and virtio block devices
--
Hi. I'm running
Ubuntu Precise
12.04 LTS. I created some virtual machines using vmbuilder, and then
migrated those from their .qcow files to lvm. However, those virtual
machines are still using disk type "file":
Code:
<disk type='file' device='disk'>
<driver name='qemu' type='raw'/>

Also forest prep and domain prep did for sccm 2007 ocs 2007 and Exchange 2003.
After join Samba to domain like ad dc I had some problem with replication:

trouble automating formula edits when log or * are present; update trouble
Greetings
I want to take a fitted regression and replace all uses of a variable
in a formula. For example, I'd like to take
m1 <- lm(y ~ x1, data=dat)
and replace x1 with something else, say x1c, so the formula would become
m1 <- lm(y ~ x1c, data=dat)
I have working code to finish that part of the problem, but it fails
when the formula is more complicated. If the formula has log(x1)

virtual machine seems to run, but can't connect to it
I'm using ubuntu 12.04LTS
I setup a bridged network:
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
# The primary network interface
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto br0
iface br0 inet dhcp
bridge_ports eth0
bridge_stp off
bridge_fd 0
bridge_maxwait 0
Seems to work.
Then I created a virtual machine using Ubuntu's vmbuilder tool like so:

[PATCH supermin v2] ext2: Create symlinks properly (RHBZ#1470157).
The ext2 filesystem on disk format has two ways to store symlinks.
For symlinks >= 60 bytes in length, they are stored as files

stored in the inode ("fast symlinks").
Previously we only created slow symlinks even if they are shorter than
60 bytes. This didn't matter until recently, when a change went

I get differences, too many to post here, but I assume mostly related to
the drift between the 2 dcs now?
(lastLogonTimestamp seems obvious to me)
What might solve the initial problem *maybe*
