[PATCH 0/8] Miscellaneous cleanups to Windows registry code.
A very miscellaneous set of cleanups to how we handle the Windows
registry in virt-v2v, firstboot, and inspection code. This should all
be straightforward non-controversial refactoring. Some highlights:
- Add a new mllib Registry module containing various utility
functions that are currently scattered all around.
- Only compute the software/system hive paths once during inspection,

[PATCH NOT TO BE APPLIED] v2v: windows: Make registry changes to all ControlSets, not
[Partly using the mailing list as a backup again ...]
This commit changes virt-v2v to make registry changes to all ControlSets,
not just the CurrentControlSet.
Not sure what difference if any this would make.

[PATCH] v2v:windows: prevent Parallels drivers from loading at boot
Parallels proprietary hypervisor uses RDPMC as the hypercall
instruction. As this instruction is supported since early P6 family,
the drivers didn't even bother to check for the presence of the
corresponding feature in CPUID.
In QEMU/KVM, however, this instruction triggers #GP unless the VM is run
with PMU (performance monitoring unit) enabled, which is often not the
case (due to its impact

[PATCH 0/2] v2v: uninstall the VMware Tools from Windows guests
It seems newer versions of VMware Tools for Windows can be uninstalled
also when the guest does not run on VMware anymore. Hence, attempt to
uninstall them during a conversion, reusing the same code already used
to uninstall Parallel Tools.
This was tested with the following Windows guests:
- Windows 2008r2
- Windows 2012r2
- Windows 2016
- Windows 7
- Windows 8
- Windows 10

[PATCH 0/7] Add support for SUSE virtio windows drivers
Hi there,
SUSE ships Virtual Machine Driver Pack for the virtio windows drivers. Get v2v
and customize to discover them and use them if available.
Cédric Bosdonnat (7):
v2v: check next free oem%d.inf in /Windows/Inf
v2v: extract controller offset discovery as a function
customize: add support for pvvxsvc
v2v: extract reusable parts of viostor regedits
v2v: adapt the subkey in Enum

[PATCH 0/4] Add hivex APIs into the libguestfs API (RHBZ#852394)
This adds most of the hivex APIs directly to the libguestfs API, so
that you can read and write Windows Registry hive files from
libguestfs without needing to download and upload hive files from the
guest.
This is analogous to how Augeas APIs are exposed already
(guestfs_aug_*)
Also, inspection is now done using the new APIs, which fixes the
following bug:

[PATCH] convert_windows: uninstall Parallels Tools on first boot
If present, Parallels Tools may stand in the way of proper running the
windows guests in non-Parallels hypervisors, so we're better off
uninstalling them on the first boot into the new environment.
With this patch, the uninstall records for Parallels Tools are looked up
in the registry and, if found, corresponding firstboot actions are
registered, taking special care that those actions are

[PATCH] Fix Windows conversion when ControlSet001 isn't the CurrentControlSet
If a Windows boot fails and the user boots the last known good configuration,
ControlSet001 will be marked as failed and no longer used. However, virt-v2v
would only install viostor to ControlSet001, meaning it will fail to boot this
guest after conversion.
This patch looks up the current controlset and always installs registry keys to
the correct one.

[PATCH] v2v: recognize Virtuozzo tools as Parallels tools
Recent updates of Virtuozzo Server 6 (fka Parallels Cloud Server 6) have
"Virtuozzo tools" instead of "Parallels tools" as their display name in
the corresponding Uninstall registry key.
Recognize those, too, and schedule their uninstallation on first boot.

[V2V PATCH v4 0/2] convert_windows: add firstboot script to install drivers with pnputil
While messing around this script, I added one more tiny patch making
wait-pnp log its output into the common log.txt file, as suggested by
Richard here:

[PATCH 0/4] v2v: windows: Only try to install rhev-apt if the target is RHV (RHBZ#1161019).
The bug is:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1161019
This makes a few other minor refactorings to the code.

[PATCH] RFC: v2v: use RHV Setup Tools ISO if available
If the RHV Setup Tools ISO is installed, open it, and copy RHEV APT from
there, instead of using (if available) the executable located in the
virt-tools data directory.
This way, RHV conversion hosts with the RHV Setup Tools ISO installed
will always install the latest version when convering Windows guests,
no matter which version is (eventually) shipped as virt-tools.

[PATCH 0/4] v2v: simplify driver copying from virtio-win iso
Libguestfs supports passing an ISO image as a source of virtio windows
drivers to v2v.
That support, however, looks too heavy-weight: in order to access those
drivers, a separate guestfs handle is created (and thus a new emulator
process is started), which runs until v2v completes.
This series attempts to make it simpler and lighter-weight, by making
the relevant code more local, and by

WIn XP + Samba trouble
I am trying to connect a windows xp client to a samba PDC. The user
exists on the PDC and has an entry in the /etc/samba/smbpasswd file. In
my smb.conf file, I have the following:
add user script = /usr/sbin/useradd -s /bin/false %u && /usr/bin/smbpasswd -a %u
add machine script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g machines -s /bin/false -M %u && /usr/bin/smbpasswd -m -a %u

[common PATCH 0/3] SELinux_relabel: relabel only if enforcing (RHBZ#1828952)
Continuation/rework of:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-May/msg00020.html
This is my approach, as I explained here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1828952#c4
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2020-May/msg00035.html
IOW: do not attempt to relabel if the guest is not enforcing, as it is
either useless or may fail; few words more are in the comments of patch
#3.
