[PATCH] generator: Add visibility to action struct
The visibility field in action replaces in_fish, in_docs and internal. The defined types are: VPublic: A public API. This is exported and documented in all language bindings, and in guestfish. VStateTest: A public API which queries the library state machine. It is exported and documented in all language bindings, but not guestfish. VBindTest: An internal API used only for testing

[PATCH] generator: Share Common_utils code.
For a very long time we have maintained two sets of utility functions, in mllib/common_utils.ml and generator/utils.ml. This changes things so that the same set of utility functions can be shared with both directories. It's not possible to use common_utils.ml directly in the generator because it provides several functions that use modules outside the OCaml stdlib. Therefore we add some

[PATCH 0/9] build: Require OCaml >= 4.02.
Per my previous email: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-September/msg00203.html I'd like to talk about requiring a more modern version of the OCaml compiler. These commits show some of the code changes which would be possible with OCaml >= 3.12 [which it turns out we already require by accident] and also with OCaml >= 4.02. The latter is my favoured option. Rich.

[PATCH 2/9] ocaml: Replace pattern matching { field = field } with { field }.
If you have a struct containing ?field?, eg: type t = { field : int } then previously to pattern-match on this type, eg. in function parameters, you had to write: let f { field = field } = (* ... use field ... *) In OCaml >= 3.12 it is possible to abbreviate cases where the field being matched and the variable being bound have the same name, so now you can just write: let f {

[PATCH] php: add a simple bindtests test
Generate a simple bindtests test for the PHP binding, so it is possible to easily test all the argument types. Unlike the bindtests for other languages, optional arguments are not tested, due to the limitations of optional arguments in PHP (or maybe they way we implement them). --- .gitignore | 1 + generator/bindtests.ml | 63 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

[PATCH] tests: c-api: add $datadir and $databuilddir
Modify "tests" to expand any kind of environment variable than just $srcdir; use $datadir and $databuilddir to point to the files in $srcdir/tests/data and $builddir/tests/data, so it is easier to point at the data for the tests. Most of the work (except the $databuilddir and the integration in the Makefile.am) has been done as part of larger changes by Richard W.M. Jones

[PATCH v2 0/2] v2v: Use OVMF secure boot file (RHBZ#1367615).
First version was posted here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2016-August/thread.html#00100 This is semantically the same as the first version. However I've split the patch up into two parts. In the first part, I factor out the UEFI paths so now they are created by the generator and written in the library and v2v/ directory directly, instead of the complex business of having a C

[PATCH v5 2/7] tests/c-api: Convert the C API tests to use the test harness.
This involves some significant changes to this test framework. In particular: - Instead of just specifying $srcdir at the start of a FileIn path, you can now specify arbitrary environment variables. This is necessary to allow the tests to run from a tmpdir. - Use COPYING instead of COPYING.LIB, and copy that file into the test suite directory. - Require the static binaries

eRuby & Rails: Not Compatible
I''m new to Ruby, Rails, and this list. I''ve tried searching for an answer but it all seems to be over my head. Exactly what are these much celebrated "naming conventions"; i.e. where do I find an exhaustive

[PATCH v2] Add tune2fs command.
The changes since the previous patch: - safe ADD_ARG macro for adding arguments to a fixed size stack array - support for testing functions that return RHashtable, ie. tune2fs-l. - add tests that set (tune2fs) and get (tune2fs-l) various parameters. - only one 'intervalbetweenchecks' parameter (in seconds) Rich.
