Re: [PATCH] Rust bindings: Add Rust bindings
Hi Hiroyuki, sorry for the late reply. Most of the work is definitely nice! There are few notes below, although they are not big issues. I will check this patch once more on monday, especially the rust parts. Otherwise, I'd say that we are close to merging this :) On Tuesday, 23 July 2019 10:37:17 CEST Hiroyuki Katsura wrote: > From: Hiroyuki_Katsura

[PATCH v2 0/7] Add symbol versioning (now working).
This rather more complex patch series adds symbol versioning (7/7 shows it in action). This works for me, tested by running old and new virt-inspector binaries against the new library. Rich.

[PATCH 1/3] generator: c: move internal functions
Move the generate_all_structs and generate_all_headers functions, previously internal within the implementation of generate_guestfs_h, to be usable by other functions in the same "C" module (but not public). Only code motion. --- generator/c.ml | 163 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++---------------------------- 1 file changed, 82 insertions(+), 81 deletions(-) diff --git a/generator/c.ml

[PATCH v2 0/2] v2v: Use OVMF secure boot file (RHBZ#1367615).
First version was posted here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2016-August/thread.html#00100 This is semantically the same as the first version. However I've split the patch up into two parts. In the first part, I factor out the UEFI paths so now they are created by the generator and written in the library and v2v/ directory directly, instead of the complex business of having a C

[PATCH] Split gobject sources into 1 file per class
This patch replaces patches 14 and 15 from my previous series. The gtk-doc output is now reasonable, and we can rely on an automatically generated guestfs-sections.txt. Matt

Re: [PATCH] Rust bindings: Add Rust bindings
> Is this just trying if the guestfs can be linked with? Yes. In OCaml bindings, there is the corresponding test( https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/blob/master/ocaml/t/guestfs_010_load.ml). I just mimicked it. If it is not required, I will remove it. divided the generated files and handmade files in rust/src/ directory. I'll send this fixed patch to this mailing list. I'm not

[PATCH v5 0/2] RFE: journal reader in guestfish
There seems to be a minor issue when user wants to run it through pager (more) and wants cancel it. User will end up with stuck guestfish until journal-view transfers all journal items. Output is configurable, it's the same format as virt-log has, since both uses same code. Maros Zatko (2): cat: move get_journal_field to fish/journal.c fish: add journal-view command (RHBZ#988100)

[PATCH] gobject: Move headers into a subdirectory
The gobject bindings generate a large number of header files, which pollute /usr/include when installed. This patch moves them all into a guestfs-gobject/ subdirectory. guestfs-gobject.h remains in the same place. This change also moves generated source files into src/, because it makes the gobject directory a bit tidier. --- generator/Makefile.am | 3 +

[PATCH 00/12] Refactor utility functions.
This turned out to be rather more involved than I thought. We have lots of utility functions, spread all over the repository, with not a lot of structure. This moves many of them under common/ and structures them so there are clear dependencies. This doesn't complete the job by any means. Other items I had on my to-do list for this change were: - Split up mllib/common_utils into: -

Some fixes for building the Debian package for 1.20.2
I needed to add a few patches to be able to build libguestfs 1.20.2 out of tree. Mostly srcdir/builddir issues -- I think that I had posted something for building the daemon before. As mentioned on IRC, I found that compiling (Ruby bindings) caused config.h file shipped with the Ruby headers to be included rather than ${builddir}/config.h. This can be fixed because the relevant checks can be

[PATCH] generator: Do not claim copyright for future years
This change helps to make libguestfs package build reproducible. See https://reproducible-builds.org/ for why this is good. Without this patch, building today's libguestfs in 2033, claims Copyright (C) 2009-2033 Red Hat Inc. which cannot be correct. This affected files like /usr/include/guestfs-gobject.h /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.26.2/x86_64-linux-thread-multi/Sys/Guestfs.pm
