Because of the size of an extended partition reported by Linux is always 1024 bytes, so it will always fail to copy to an extended partition. This patch fixes this problem by copying to the offset of an extended partition in the destination disk. Some simple refactoring of virt-resize. I originally had the idea that we could turn virt-resize into a library (cf. virt-customize) and use it from virt-builder, but I now don't think that would make any meaningful difference. I have a Windows 2000 domU running in an LVM partition. I need to move it to another host, but none of my other xen servers have lvm or free space to create an lvm. So I''d like to convert it to a sparse img file. The file system in the domU is ntfs. Can anyone suggest how to do this?
