What are the advantages of using winegcc over the mingw cross compiler? Also, what are the differences in the header files / libs supplied with each ? I'm just wondering what the advantages are if you're compiling from source. Is there any (noticeable) performance difference if I do so? Is it recommended I do this? I have a somewhat restricted system (900 Mhz CPU, 512 MB RAM) so it'd be nice if Wine could run a bit faster (though the recent memory management optimizations in Wine certainly seemed to help already).
