Re: P2V using 2 physical machines - Fedora OS installed on both
Thanks a lot for your awesome support Richard.
"test connection" worked after we configured the necessary IP details but
the "Conversion" ends with status as 1 with the below error message: (PFA
of the complete logs stored on conversion server under "/tmp/virt-v2v-***"
directory)

Thanks for your time Richard.
We are still unable to proceed :( Please find the steps which we followed.
1. Installed Fedora 21 on both the physical machines. (PHYSICAL HARDWARE 1
, 2 == PHY1, PHY2).The hardwares used are HP SL nodes which has Hardware
RAID0 configured.
2. Installed following packages : yum install qemu libvirt-client
virt-manager virt-viewer guestfish libguestfs-tools

Re: P2V conversion failed with "/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory"
Greetings Richard,
To add to the above information, we are following the understated steps:
1. We have 2 BL460c (Gen8) with Fedora 21 installed. Both the
machines(BL1 & BL2) have been updated with virt-v2v packages
2. On BL1, we execute the following commands:
1. virt-p2v-make-kickstart fedora
2. livecd-creator p2v.ks
3. After creating the

Hello,
I am trying to make a .iso to p2v some old windows servers, and I
installed a brand new FC22 server to build my images
I run
virt-p2v-make-kickstart fedora
livecd-creator p2v.ks
and I get the following error:

Re: P2V conversion failed with "/run/lvm/lvmetad.socket: connect failed: No such file or directory"
Greetings Richard,
Thanks for the pointer. It was helpful. (Note: We have 2 physical machines,
one is p2v machine & the other is conversion server. Both the machines have
been updated with "*yum install qemu libvirt-client virt-manager
virt-viewer guestfish libguestfs-tools virt-top*")
We have couple of questions for the exact functioning of virt-p2v:

Hello Rich,
Greetings!
It was great connecting with you and, I would like to thank you for your
time and being patient on answering all our queries.
However, referring to the link ->
http://libguestfs.org/virt-p2v.1.html#how-virt-p2v-works we have a

Wireless problem
Hi folks
I just installed Centos 5.5. I heard about the new changes in wifi support. I tried a USB wifi card from Netgear, and It works fine. It didn't en Centos 5.4, so that's great news.
The problem is I have a Linksys WUSB54GC USB wifi card and I want to make it work.
I get this messages in /var/log/messages as soon as I plug it in.

OK the Windows "argument list too long" thing should be fixed
by hivex-1.3.10-5.7.el7 which is in the usual place.
Rich.
