And we can't setup a new hypercall page by writing something different to HV_X64_MSR_HYPERCALL, right? > > The suspend, resume and cleanup paths remain untouched because they

[PATCH RFC 2/2] x86/vdso: Add VCLOCK_HVCLOCK vDSO clock read method
Hyper-V TSC page clocksource is suitable for vDSO, however, the protocol defined by the hypervisor is different from VCLOCK_PVCLOCK. Implement the required support re-using pvclock_page VVAR as VCLOCK_PVCLOCK is mutually exclusive with VCLOCK_HVCLOCK at run time. [PATCH 1/6] Staging: hv: vmbus_drv.c Replaced DPRINT with native pr_XXX
This group of patches removes all DPRINT from hv_vmbus.ko. It is divided in several patches due to size. All DPRINT calls have been removed, and where needed have been replaced with pr_XX native calls. Many debug DPRINT calls have been removed outright. The amount of clutter this driver prints has been significantly reduced. Signed-off-by: Hank Janssen <hjanssen at microsoft.com>

[PATCH v2 2/5] x86: add enum for hypervisors to replace x86_hyper
The x86_hyper pointer is only used for checking whether a virtual device is supporting the hypervisor the system is running on. Use an enum for that purpose instead and drop the x86_hyper pointer. [PATCH v3 2/3] x86/hyperv: move TSC reading method to asm/mshyperv.h
As a preparation to making Hyper-V TSC page suitable for vDSO move the TSC page reading logic to asm/mshyperv.h. While on it, do the following - Document the reading algorithm. - Simplify the code a bit. - Add explicit READ_ONCE() to not rely on 'volatile'. - Add explicit barriers to prevent re-ordering (we need to read sequence strictly before and after) - Use mul_u64_u64_shr() instead

[PATCH 1/2] hyperv: implement hv_get_tsc_page()
