Now that we're supporting things like Ada and the GSP, there's situations where we really need to actually know the display state that we're starting with when loading the driver in order to prevent breaking GSP expectations. The first step in doing this is making it so that we can read the current state of IORs from nvkm in DRM, so that we can fill in said into into the atomic state.

When reading the monitor config fails, don't retry forever. If it fails ten times in a row just give up to avoid the driver hangs. Also add a small delay after each attempt, so the host has a chance to complete a partial update. If qxl_alloc_client_monitors_config() fails to allocate client_monitors_config then NULL pointer dereference occurs in function qxl_display_copy_rom_client_monitors_config() after qxl_alloc_client_monitors_config() call. The patch adds return error from qxl_alloc_client_monitors_config() and additional status for qxl_display_copy_rom_client_monitors_config return value. Found by Linux Driver

Track which bo is used as primary surface. With that in place we don't need the primary_created flag any more, we can just check the primary bo pointer instead. Also verify we don't already have a primary surface in qxl_io_create_primary().
