[PATCH RFC v2 2/4] vdpa/mlx5: implement .reset_map driver op
Today, mlx5_vdpa gets started by preallocate 1:1 DMA mapping at
device creation time, while this 1:1 mapping will be implicitly
destroyed when the first .set_map call is invoked. Everytime
when the .reset callback is invoked, any mapping left behind will
be dropped then reset back to the initial 1:1 DMA mapping.
In order to reduce excessive memory mapping cost during live
migration, it is

[PATCH][next] vdpa/mlx5: fix memory allocation failure checks
From: Colin Ian King <colin.king at canonical.com>
The memory allocation failure checking for in and out is currently
checking if the pointers are valid rather than the contents of what
they point to. Hence the null check on failed memory allocations is
incorrect. Fix this by adding the missing indirection in the check.
Also for the default case, just set the *in and *out to null as
these

[PATCH v2] vdpa/mlx5: Fix firmware error on creation of 1k VQs
A firmware error is triggered when configuring a 9k MTU on the PF after
switching to switchdev mode and then using a vdpa device with larger
(1k) rings:
mlx5_cmd_out_err: CREATE_GENERAL_OBJECT(0xa00) op_mod(0xd) failed, status bad resource(0x5), syndrome (0xf6db90), err(-22)
This is due to the fact that the hw VQ size parameters are computed
based on the umem_1/2/3_buffer_param_a/b capabilities

[PATCH] vdpa/mlx5: fix up endian-ness for mtu
VDPA mlx5 accesses config space as native endian - this is
wrong since it's a modern device and actually uses LE.
It only supports modern guests so we could punt and
just force LE, but let's use the full virtio APIs since people
tend to copy/paste code, and this is not data path anyway.

[PATCH] vdpa/mlx5: should keep avail_index despite device status
A VM with mlx5 vDPA has below warnings while being reset:
vhost VQ 0 ring restore failed: -1: Resource temporarily unavailable (11)
vhost VQ 1 ring restore failed: -1: Resource temporarily unavailable (11)
We should allow userspace emulating the virtio device be
able to get to vq's avail_index, regardless of vDPA device
status. Save the index that was last seen when virtq was
stopped, so

[PATCH] vdpa/mlx5: Avoid warnings about shifts on 32-bit platforms
Clang warns several times when building for 32-bit ARM along the lines
of:
drivers/vdpa/mlx5/net/mlx5_vnet.c:1462:31: warning: shift count >= width
of type [-Wshift-count-overflow]
