Mouse wrap problem with Mass Effect on Mac (wine 1.3.23)
I used Wineskin to wrap Mass Effect (1). Wineskin helps me a lot with finding working and non-working versions of Wine and has worked very well for me in the past.
With versions later than 1.3.23, (26, 27, 28 ) the game freezes after character creation. So I used 1.3.23.
the problem is (still) that the mouse doesn't wrap in-game. This makes the game almost unplayable in combat sequences,

Call Of Duty 2 -- Mouse Lag
Hi,
I recently installed Call Of Duty 2, but the game is unplayable because of mouse lag. I try options "winetrick nwo=<?>" where ? was "enable", "disabled" or "force" - nothing works. I also try to change the "smooth mouse" in game menu - still nothing changes.
Wine 1.3.17 (on previous versions was the same problem).
Please help.

FEAR Combat mouse lag/choppy
I've been trying to get FEAR Combat to work out with WINE and, at first, had no problem with any mouse lag. Then, started getting ridiculous and unplayable choppy mouse lag. All while the game itself runs over 100 FPS. The mouse lag kills it.
I'm running WINE 1.3.17 on Ubuntu Maverick (64-bit) 10.10
Please and thank you anyone who can help me with this! D:

Age of Wonders 2 Mouse Issue
Age of Wonders 2 in wine has what appears to be probably a very simple
bug, but makes the game unplayable - the game does not recognize mouse
clicks at all. This happens in both this release (2/19) and last
release (1/15), before that I have not tested, but I presume it has
never worked.
I'm not exactly an expert debugger :) but I tried some tracing, and it
seems the game does not use

[1.3.20] Mouse stuttering issue in World of Warcraft
I just installed 1.3.20 from the PPA on my Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit installation.
One of the new features is the "Option to clip the mouse inside fullscreen windows". I wonder if this is related to the problem that has now cropped up since 1.3.19.
In World of Warcraft when I move my mouse the position resets at constant intervals (~ 2 seconds). (When moving the mouse ever two seconds the

TrackMania Nations Forever certain tracks unplayable
Hello I'm using wine 1.1.37 and TM Forever 2.11.21 en on Kubuntu Karmic.
Most track play fine (with compositing turned off), but on some tracks the framerate is so low (1-2 fps) they are unplayable. These tracks include: A01, D08, E01, and a couple more.
I tried lowering resolution, using windowed mode, unticking effects ckeckboxes in advanced configuration and it didn't help even a bit.

'corrupt' mp3s/icecast reencoding/mpglib
hi
icecast/ices/lame/otto all work beautifully (most of the time!)
however, certain tracks, encoded as VBR files with either grip+lame
(linux), or audiocatalyst (win2k), are unplayable (using ices to
reencode and stream at 128kbps)...ices streams a few hundred
millisenconds then quits...
from reading on the FAQ/BUGlist, the only thing i can see if that these
may be 'corrupt', causing

WoW, and most other games, do not run under Wine.
I've recently installed Wine onto my ubuntu intrepid ibex box and I'm having endless issues when it comes to running games. Right now, I'm specifically trying to play World of Warcraft and I am receiving graphical issues that cause the game to be unplayable. These bugs are widespread and i cannot see anything in the game's window. The laptop is running on an Intel GMA965Q. I've

wine 1.3.20+ mouse control issue
Hi,
I'm having a few issues with mouse control while playing Homeworld2 under Wine. Since the release of 1.3.20, the mouse has behaved quite erratically when adjusting the camera with right-drag. Specifically, the view will "snap" around, often switching to a "straight down" view or swinging around suddenly by 180 degrees.
Downgrading back to 1.3.19 makes the problem go

Some more hacks around the fundamental problem. It might work for some more games then before, but still falls short of fixing everything completely.

Disappearing mouse on CentOS 4.1
For the second time in two days, my mouse just "disappeared" from my
desktop system running CentOS 4.1 (yes, I'm using CentOS as a
workstation). At the time, I was trying to open the main Gnome menu
from the panel, and I think my hand slipped before I released the mouse
button. I tried accessing an alternate console (Ctrl-Alt-1) and then

Lag when playing freeware games
I switched to Linux recently and one of the biggest things I miss from Windows are freeware games such as Spelunky or Desktop Dungeons. So, I got Wine and downloaded those games, thinking they should run great and I'll be happy in Linux-Land.
The problem is they lag an ungodly amount, making them unplayable. Spelunky is a lot worse than Desktop Dungeons, which I guess I could suffer through,

Ok.. so i heard playing WoW on linux often runs better than in windows but im having some trouble with bugs and glitches..
i tried setting graphics to openGL and turning the settings to minimum but to no avail. :/
I've also done the regedit and added the registry value but that just makes it crash or lagg to the point where it's unplayable.

Which is the latest Wine that has DGA support?
Hello.
I'm trying to find wine that can make use of DGA (with new Linux distros
like my Debian 4.0). I need it because I want to run Fallout 2 with
acceptable speed - right now it is unplayable (without DGA). So far I tested
wine 0.9.15 and some above - and no luck. I guess I should look for older
Wine but which one exactly?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.

Fixing a Corrupted Vorbis file
Hello, Since last week I started having random ogg files from my library
turning corrupt, and practically being unplayable by anything. All this
while I was browsing and sorting my library through Amarok.
Luckily today I've found the possible culprit, Amarok itself, and others
who may have the issue as well: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369672
But regardless of how the issue started,
