[PATCH] drm/simple-kms: Standardize arguments for callbacks
Hi, there are two types of callbacks in struct drm_simple_display_pipe_funcs: functions that are genuine to simple KMS, and functions that are merely forwarded from another structure (crtc, plane, etc). In the former category are enable(), disable(), check(), and update(). Those should probably receive a simple display pipe as their first argument. In the latter category are mode_valid(),

[PATCH 10/52] drm/cirrus: Use drmm_add_final_kfree
With this we can drop the final kfree from the release function. I also noticed that cirrus forgot to call drm_dev_fini(). v2: Don't call kfree(cirrus) after we've handed overship of that to drm_device and the drmm_ stuff. [PATCH v2 0/4] drm: Provide a simple encoder
Many DRM drivers implement an encoder with an empty implementation. This patchset adds drm_simple_encoder_init() and drm_simple_encoder_create(), which can be used by drivers instead. Except for the destroy callback, the simple encoder's implementation is empty. The patchset also converts 4 encoder instances to use the simple-encoder helpers. But there are at least 11 other drivers which can

[PATCH 7/7] drm: Split out drm_probe_helper.h
Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is confusing. Split them out. To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of drm_crtc_helper.h includes.
