[RFC/PATCH 15/15] guest: virtio device support, and kvm hypercalls
From: Christian Borntraeger <borntraeger at de.ibm.com> This patch implements kvm guest kernel support for paravirtualized devices and contains two parts: o a basic virtio stub using virtio_ring and external interrupts and hypercalls o full hypercall implementation in kvm_para.h Currently we dont have PCI on s390. Making virtio_pci usable for s390 seems more complicated that providing an

[PATCH 1/3] virtio: find_vqs/del_vqs virtio operations
This replaces find_vq/del_vq with find_vqs/del_vqs virtio operations, and updates all drivers. This is needed for MSI support, because MSI needs to know the total number of vectors upfront. [PATCH 1/3] S390: take a full byte as ext_param indicator
Currenty the ext_param field only distinguishes between "config change" and "vring interrupt". We can do a lot more with it though, so let's enable a full byte of possible values and constants to #defines while at it. Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf <agraf at suse.de> --- v1 -> v2: - move defines to virtio_s390.h --- arch/s390/include/asm/kvm_virtio.h | 6

[PATCHv6 1/4] virtio: add names to virtqueue struct, mapping from devices to queues.
From: Rusty Russell <rusty at rustcorp.com.au> Add a linked list of all virtqueues for a virtio device: this helps for debugging and is also needed for upcoming interface change. Also, add a "name" field for clearer debug messages. Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty at rustcorp.com.au> --- including this Rusty's patch here for completeness.

[PATCH] virtio: make find_vqs() checkpatch.pl-friendly
checkpatch.pl wants arrays of strings declared as follows: static const char * const names[] = { "vq-1", "vq-2", "vq-3" }; Currently the find_vqs() function takes a const char *names[] argument so passing checkpatch.pl's const char * const names[] results in a compiler error due to losing the second const. This patch adjusts the find_vqs() prototype and

[PATCH 2/2] virtio/s390: deprecate old transport
There only ever have been two host implementations of the old s390-virtio (pre-ccw) transport: the experimental kuli userspace, and qemu. As qemu switched its default to ccw with 2.4 (with most users having used ccw well before that) and removed the old transport entirely in 2.6, s390-virtio probably hasn't been in active use for quite some time and is therefore likely to bitrot. Let's
