[LLVMdev] [GSoC] Improvent of PRE in LLVM compiler
Greetings,
(I am reposting this email of mine, as I was informed that emails from the
domain 'iith.ac.in' are sometimes being marked as spam)
I am Aradhya Biswas, final year student of Computer Science and Engineering
at Indian Institute of technology Hyderabad (IITH), and as mentioned in my
previous email on the LLVM dev mailing list, I am interested to work

TLS from a Sponsored Google Summer of Coding?
I happened on to a website from Google that says there was a
Digium/Google sponsored project to add certificates and TLS and TCP (as
opposed to just UDP) to Asterisk. Does anyone know anything about this
as it indicates that it works in the current asterisk (since like August
of 2005).
The web site is: http://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/asterisk-tcp
Go to the News Page and it indicates TLS

Is it possible to be sponsored by R?
Hi the list,
I am a member of the organizing comity of the French Statistics Association (SFdS)'s conference. We
are looking for sponsors. Some software (SAS, RITME, ...) are represented. Do you know if there is
any possibility to be sponsored by R (or by an association close to R)? Do you think I can ask to
the R fondation?
Sincerely
Christophe

new package 'bit64' - 1000x faster than 'int64' sponsored by Google
Dear R-Core team,
Dear Rcpp team and other package teams,
Dear R users,
The new package 'bit64' is available on CRAN for beta-testing and
code-reviewing.
Package 'bit64' provides fast serializable S3 atomic 64bit (signed)
integers that can be used in vectors, matrices, arrays and data.frames.
Methods are available for coercion from and to logicals, integers,
doubles,

Puzzled by -R dropping first argument
Hi All!
I am puzzled. I am using openssh 5.3p1 on RHEL/CentOS but am seeing the same behaviour for osx and debian:
ssh -R xxx:yyy:yyy:yyy remotehost
Will effectively drop the first (xxx) argument and result in
ssh -R 127.0.0.1:yyy:yyy:yyy remotehost
ssh -R yyy:yyy:yyy remotehost
I had a look at the source code where apparently all 4 values are ready and handed down to the appropriate

Sponsored development - Monodirectional audio handling
Hi Guys,
we're needing a special implementation on Asterisk
Our intention is to contribute the development and share back the code
to Asterisk community
Here is what we need:
- An option to Asterisk Dial command which, if used, when calls is
answered gives monodirectional audio
(Caller should hear the called party but not vice-versa)
- A DTMF sequence (maybe handled in features.conf) for

Two Fire Wire ports PCMCIA ieee 1394
Hi Everyone,
I'm running wine in a Linux Ubuntu installation and I need to use a two firewire ports pcmcia but Wine doesn't seem to recognise it at all!
Do you know if it is compatible with wine? (I know that it is not possible to use it on windows Vmware virtual machines)
If it is, Can anyone throw some light on how can I get wine to recognise this hardware? (I installed the pcmcia

[LLVMdev] IEEE 754-2008 | ISO/IEC TR 18037
LLVM does not support IEEE decimal-floating point.
If by “fixed point arithmetic” you are asking about associating a scale factor with a variable/value, and doing the correct scaling for arbitrary arithmetic… LLVM doesn’t do that either. It’s a rare IR that even has the concept. The OpenVMS GEM compilers supported it (along with other special features for COBOL), but I’m not aware of any

Also Q numbers format can be added for added precision.

The goal isn't really maximum generality, but support for languages
that people care about. Currently that's mostly C and C++, with a
smattering of features for some others.
But features almost never get added

These features can find use in embedded micro controllers and situation
where you do not want rounding errors. x86 and ppc sound like Intel and
Power PC specific.
Of course once introduced some one must maintain it.

Not until someone comes up with a language specifying them (or at
least a highly suspect variant of C specifying them) they can't.
