[PATCH v7 14/18] drm/virtio: switch from ttm to gem shmem helpers
virtio-gpu basically needs a sg_table for the bo, to tell the host where the backing pages for the object are. So the gem shmem helpers are a perfect fit. Some drm_gem_object_funcs need thin wrappers to update the host state, but otherwise the helpers handle everything just fine. Once the fencing was sorted the switch was surprisingly easy and for the most part just removing the ttm code. v4:

[PATCH v2 3/4] Add virtio gpu driver.
From: Dave Airlie <airlied at gmail.com> This patch adds a kms driver for the virtio gpu. The xorg modesetting driver can handle the device just fine, the framebuffer for fbcon is there too. [PATCH] drm/nouveau: use designated initializers
Prepare to mark sensitive kernel structures for randomization by making sure they're using designated initializers. These were identified during allyesconfig builds of x86, arm, and arm64, with most initializer fixes extracted from grsecurity. Signed-off-by: Kees Cook <keescook at chromium.org> --- drivers/gpu/drm/nouveau/nouveau_ttm.c | 28 ++++++++++++++-------------- 1 file changed,
