Printing does not work
Hi, I've tried unsuccessfully to get printing working under wine. I use wine version 20040309 on Debian unstable. I use cups for printing and it works without problems. According to the wine doc, I did not add any entries to the wine config file or to the registry. My printcap file looks like this: kyocera|Kyocera FS-1500:rm=sbs93:rp=kyocera: phaser|phaser:rm=sbs93:rp=phaser: When I

Extracting coefficients of covariates in a LME-model
Hi all, I have created a linear mixed-effects model using lmer. My dependent variable is comp.score and my main independent variable is delay.type, a repeated-measures within-subject variable (2 levels: Synch and Asynch, order counter-balanced across participants). I had a series of covariates that were included in the initial model and used a step-wise process to produce the most parsimonious

ACT! 6 Random Crashing
Ok, I recently upgraded to wine-0.9.29 and ACT is crashing randomly now. There doesn't seem to be any reason, or reproducible thing that I can do to make it crash, it just decides it has had enough, and crashes. Here is one output from the terminal when it crashed. wine act.exe fixme:system:SystemParametersInfoW Unimplemented action: 8193 (SPI_SETFOREGROUNDLOCKTIMEOUT)

Problems running Writeoutloud
Hi I'm trying to get Writeoutloud (talking wordprocessor for dyslexics) running on an Asus Eeepc (Xandros) using Wine 1.0. The prog installed reasonably well and after running Winetricks and fixing mfc42 I got the prog to boot. It boots OK and accepts keystrokes but when the spacebar is pressed and the prog attempts to spellcheck the word just completed I get an error message to say

sine wine 1.0RC1: 4th mouse button doesn't work
Hey, since 1.0RC1 my 4th mouse button on my logitech G5 doesn't work anymore...all games that I've (BF2, Bf1942, CS:S, F.E.A.R) doesn't react when I press the 4th button...what is that for a bug? Here's my machine configuration: [start] OS: Ubuntu 6.10 "Edgy Eft" GNOME: v2.16.x Compiz: v0.3.6 (repository gandalfn, with

Mouse button swapping
Wine gets the left and right mouse buttons backwards anytime after the mouse has hovered over the ruler widget in Word97 (the widget between the text area and the tool bar). After the hover the left mouse button does what the right mouse button should and vise versa. After the switch (which is only known to be triggered by Word) any application launched in Wine shows this behaviour but not

Weatherscope mouse button issues
Hi, Can anyone help me diagnose some issues with mouse button events in Weatherscope? (http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3077) It's a really annoying bug, as anytime you right click on an entry to open the properties dialog, when the dialog opens, the program thinks you are still holding down the mouse button. This triggers the drag-and-dropping support to reorder items, instead

Returning position of mouse cursor (without button press) ?
I would like a function that return the X,Y position of the mouse cursor whenever it is called PERIOD, i.e., without the button presses of locator() or identify(). E.G., > where.is.mouse() [1] 123 34 # X and Y coordinates of present mouse position in current graphics window Is this a conceivable R function or does it need to be addressed with a call to the OS (Windows 2000 in my case)?

gWidgets: how to remove that is box drawn when moving the mouse with pressed button
Hi, how can I omit the box drawn from the starting position to the current position of the mouse when clicking and it over a GTK graphics object? I have seen that in the 'playwith' package the box changes to an arrow when using the 'pan' button. But I do not find the corresponding line in the code to implement that. library(gWidgets)
