Bug#773561: Installing "xen-linux-system-amd64" on jessie fails
Hello Ian, i?ve tried to install "xen-linux-system-amd64" on a VMware host again and everything went fine. The Installation completes and i can boot into Xen und boot up the Dom0. So, you were right. It seems to be a problem with the initscript, but as far as i can tell, only when running xen under xen. To me, this specific issue is resolved, since the meta-package seems to install

Bug#773561: Installing "xen-linux-system-amd64" on jessie fails
Hi Sydney, Thanks for all the info. I'd like to have the initscript work sensibly in this scenario at some point (not for Jessie though, it's too late now) so I think we may as well keep this bug around to track that since it already contains a bunch of useful information. Thanks, Ian. On Tue, 2014-12-30 at 00:39 +0100, Sydney Meyer wrote: > Hello Ian, > > i?ve tried to

Error while loading shared libraries: libsbz.so
Hi, I have a KVM host running ubuntu 18.04 with libguestfs-tools version 1.36.13-1ubuntu3.3 installed from the Ubuntu's repo and when I try to use virt-cat for example on a VM it fails with: libguestfs: error: appliance closed the connection unexpectedly. > libguestfs: error: guestfs_launch failed. After doing "export LIBGUESTFS_DEBUG=1 LIBGUESTFS_TRACE=1" and running the

Re: Error while loading shared libraries: libsbz.so
I've tried the workaround you suggested but it doesn't seem to work. Also tried to add just "libsbz.so" to zz-workaround with no success. It throws the same error as before. PS: Sorry I've just hit reply without checking the "To:" address and I guess it sent directly to you. On Thu, Sep 3, 2020 at 1:59 PM Richard W.M. Jones <rjones@redhat.com> wrote: >

RESEND [Xen-unstable][Qemu-xen] HVM Guest reading of Expansion ROM from passthroughed PCI device returns data from emulated VGA rom
*RESEND* due to exceeding the mailinglists limit for attachment size. Hi, I''m trying to get secondary vga-passthrough on a HVM guest to work with a AMD HD6570 and the native kernel radeon driver and kernel modesetting. So the guest still gets the emulated stdvga or cirrus device(used in my case here) as primary/boot vga adapter. - When i don''t passthrough the radeon card, the

[PATCH] xen PVonHVM: require at least Xen 3.4 as dom0
The XenPVHVM extensions have not been tested much on very old hypervisors. At least Xen 3.4 gets some testing with the pvops kernel. Require at least Xen 3.4 for the PVonHVM extensions. If an older hypervisor is detected the extensions will be disabled and the guest will only see emulated hardware. Signed-off-by: Olaf Hering <olaf@aepfle.de> --- arch/x86/xen/enlighten.c | 27
