[PATCH 05/13] x86/paravirt: Move paravirt asm macros to paravirt-asm.h
The paravirt.h file is quite big and the asm interfaces for paravirt don't need to be in the same file as the C interfaces. Move the asm interfaces to a dedicated header file. [PATCH v2 03/11] x86/paravirt: remove clobbers from struct paravirt_patch_site
There is no need any longer to store the clobbers in struct paravirt_patch_site. Remove clobbers from the struct and from the related macros. While at it fix some lines longer than 80 characters. [PATCH 4.4 67/86] x86/paravirt: Remove the unused irq_enable_sysexit pv op
From: Boris Ostrovsky <boris.ostrovsky at oracle.com> commit 88c15ec90ff16880efab92b519436ee17b198477 upstream. As result of commit "x86/xen: Avoid fast syscall path for Xen PV guests", the irq_enable_sysexit pv op is not called by Xen PV guests anymore and since they were the only ones who used it we can safely remove it. [PATCH 04/10] x86/paravirt: use a single ops structure
Instead of using six globally visible paravirt ops structures combine them in a single structure, keeping the original structures as sub-structures. This avoids the need to assemble struct paravirt_patch_template at runtime on the stack each time apply_paravirt() is being called (i.e. when loading a module). [PATCH 05/10] paravirt: add new PARAVIRT_FULL config item
Add a new config item PARAVIRT_FULL. It will be used to guard the pv_*_ops functions used by fully paravirtualized guests (Xen pv-guests and lguest) only. Kernels not meant to support those guest types will be able to use many operations without paravirt abstraction while still supporting all the other paravirt features. For now just add the new Kconfig option and select it for XEN_PV and

[PATCH 0/3] Fix and cleanup for 32-bit PV sysexit
The first patch fixes Xen PV regression introduced by 32-bit rewrite. Unlike the earlier version it uses ALTERNATIVE instruction and avoids using xen_sysexit (and sysret32 in compat mode) pv ops, as suggested by Andy. (I ended up patching TEST with XOR to avoid extra NOPs, even though I said yesterday it would be wrong. It's not wrong) As result of this patch irq_enable_sysexit and

[PATCH RFC] first cut at splitting up paravirt_ops
Here's a first attempt at splitting up paravirt_ops into more specific chunks. Its pretty clunky and chunky; mostly just a lot of replacement. The grouping of ops is very first cut; I'm open to suggestions about what groups should exist and what ops they each should contain. The only slightly subtle part is that I've kept the structures wrapped in a paravirt_ops structure,

[PATCH] x86_64 paravirt_ops port
Hi all, I've been working on a port of paravirt_ops for the x86_64 architectures for a couple of days. Here's the result so far. I'm posting it soon for early cooments. The more, the better. It's obviously based on the previous work for i386, with the needed modifications. By now, I'm able to boot a bare metal kernel, but there are still some known issues, that are in my TODO
