[5.xx-6.01] broken PXE with HTTP
Hello
With 4.06 this works fine all times. But with versions 5.1x-preX and
6.0x-preX, 6.01) does not work, random errors or nothing shows
(netconn_write error -5), random behaviour. Only few times works
(1/50...). Note that retriving files via TFTP works perfect in all cases.
This happens using pre-compiled files in tarball and building for source.

lpxelinux.0 issues with larger initrd.img files from RHEL >= 7.5 on UCS servers?
Hello,
I am using lpxelinux.0 (latest stable version 6.03, using the official binaries
from kernel.org) to kickstart servers as http transfers really helps over links
with poor latencies... These servers are being booted in legacy mode,
not in UEFI.
This has worked very well until recently. Starting with RHEL 7.5, on
some servers, we would see the machine rebooting while pxelinux is in the

Hello Eric:
To sum up your report:
_ 4.0x works;
_ 4.10-pre22 (lwip branch) works;
_ 5.01 (elflink branch) works;
_ 5.10 (lwip merge into elflink) fails;

Syslinux-5.10-pre1
Folks,
I've just released the first prelease for the 5.10 series. The intention
is to leave 5.02-pre3 where it is and move to 5.10-pre1. The only
difference between 5.02-pre3 and 5.10-pre1 is the merge of the lwip
branch (and a single commit to fixup the -DDEBUG=2 build), which
warranted a bump in the version minor number. See the shortlog below for
details of the differences between

FWIW, the official binaries from 6.04-pre2 and 6.04-pre3 are not good
for troubleshooting.
Is the same behavior present when testing with other versions? I would
suggest trying 6.04-pre1, and/or the binaries from Debian Sid /

Syslinux 5.10 released
Folks,
Finally, Syslinux 5.10 has been released. This release includes a merge
of the 4.10 development branch, which means that there's a new network
stack availble, based on the lwIP embedded TCP/IP stack. The jump from
the previous 5.01 release to 5.10 may be a little confusing, but a new
network stack is such a large change that it deserved a significant bump
in the version minor number.

Syslinux and EFI
Hi good day, can anybody please assist me to get PXE booting with
syslinux, and EFI systems. PXE EFI Architecture-7 (64bit)?
What I have tried:
1) Syslinux 6.03 -> Looks like a bug -> does not work because
syslinux.efi tries to download ldlinux.e64 but from the DHCP server, in
stead of the PXE boot server (the server that provided "option 60" and
the boot file

lpxelinux.0 - 6.02 - failed to load ldlinux.c32
Hello Geert
Thanks for replying.. But i think i can?t use it, as i don?t reach the point where the debug module will be available.. it just pulls the lpxelinux.0 and tries to get the next download-- the ldlinux.c32 and it fails...and freezes.
And the next step would be other modules i think.. if i?m wrong.. excuse me 8-).. yesterday i managed to get ipxelinux working from ipxe.org.. so the nic

"Tick-counting" vs "Tick-less" timekeeping issues on VMs emulating BIOS PCs
>>>

Bottom line; There are timing issues with TFTP transfers
on VM machines emulating BIOS hardware.
Probably the interrupt based timer is not the culprit;
now I'm working on /core/fs/pxe/core.c trying to see if
there's something wrong there.
Best,
Patrick

isolinux 6.04-pre3-3-g05ac953 - failed to load ldlinux.c32
Hi,
We have been using isolinux 3.75 for a while now, to support pxelinux
and UEFI we were going to update to 6.03, but seeing 6.04 has but
fixes, decided to go with 6.04-pre3. First, is that about read for a
"make official' ? Second, I did have to modify
gnu-efi/inc/efilinks.h for the build to complete (had to remove the
(intptr_t) which doesn't belong in EFI/EDK).
So I've
